On October 3, 1965, Lyndon Johnson sat at a table at the base of the Statue of Liberty and signed the Hart-Celler Act, formally known as the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965, erasing the national origins quota system from American law. Standing near him was a 77-year-old Brooklyn Democrat watching the end of a fight he had started as a freshman congressman when Calvin Coolidge occupied the White House.

Emanuel Celler had lost that fight the first time. He would spend the next four decades refusing to accept the verdict.

The Immigration Act of 1924, known as Johnson-Reed, set quotas at 2 percent of each nationality’s presence in the United States as counted by the 1890 census—a formula specifically designed to throttle migration from southern and eastern Europe. Celler, who had entered Congress in 1923 and made his first major House floor speech opposing the bill, lost badly. The measure sailed through Congress with a Senate vote of 62 to 6. In defeat, Celler had found his cause, and for the next four decades he spoke out relentlessly against national origin quotas.

He came to that cause by inheritance. Born in Brooklyn on May 6, 1888 to Jewish immigrants from Germany, Celler graduated from Boys High School and went on to earn both his undergraduate degree and his law degree from Columbia University. During World War I, he served on a draft board, where he watched immigrant men report for duty.

In 1922, a political acquaintance convinced Celler to run as a Tammany Hall Democrat in a district that had never once sent a Democrat to Washington. He ran against Republican incumbent Lester D. Volk, campaigning against Prohibition and for American entry into the League of Nations, and won by just over 3,111 votes—becoming the first Democrat the district had ever elected. When both his parents died during his college years, he had kept the household afloat by working in the family wine and whiskey business while finishing his degree. During the First World War he served as a government appeal agent on a draft board. He took his House seat on March 4, 1923.

The 1930s brought the fight Celler would be remembered for by those who study Jewish power closely. After the National Socialists took power in Germany, the Jewish congressman pushed for an American boycott of the 1936 Berlin Olympics and introduced legislation to restrict German goods in the American market.

The pre-war boycotts Celler enthusiastically pushed for gave way to a wartime fury aimed squarely at Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s State Department. Addressing the New York County Council of the Jewish War Veterans of America on April 5, 1943, he flayed the administration in language no loyal Democrat used about FDR. “The State Department must revise its modus operandi with reference to passing upon admission of refugees,” he said. “The present method is both cold and cruel. It lacks color and humanity. Even though reputable agencies endorse an applicant, it still carries no weight. I intend to fight this until I break it wide open.” He demanded an end to what he called the “glacier-like attitude of the State Department” and insisted the Americas establish temporary havens for individuals fleeing from parts of Europe under German control.

The administration answered that winning the war was the only rescue available. Celler took exception, proclaiming: “Victory, the spokesmen say, is the only solution…After victory, the disembodied spirits will not present so difficult a problem; the dead no longer need food, drink and asylum.” Colleagues told him he was too harsh. His reply ended the conversation: “I do not measure my words because the hangmen do not tarry.”

He went further than rhetoric. In December 1943, Assistant Secretary of State Breckinridge Long testified against a Bergson Group-initiated refugee rescue resolution. Celler led the charge to expose Long’s false statements about the number of refugees actually admitted, leaking incriminating sections of the testimony to reporters and denouncing Long publicly in speeches and interviews. He dismissed Long’s professed sympathy as “crocodile tears” and warned that “If men of the temperament and philosophy of Long continue in control of immigration admission, we might as well take down that plaque from the Statue of Liberty…”

The pressure worked. In January 1944, Treasury Secretary Henry Morgenthau brought the case to Roosevelt, who signed an executive order establishing the War Refugee Board. In the war’s final 15 months the Board assisted roughly 200,000 Jews and 20,000 non-Jews, financing among other operations Raoul Wallenberg’s rescue work in Budapest.

Celler spent the post-war years dismantling the European roots of U.S. political culture one statute at a time. His most underappreciated immigration expansion victory arrived in 1946 alongside an unlikely partner, Republican Clare Boothe Luce of Connecticut.

Asian immigrants had been barred almost entirely since the 1917 Immigration Act established the Asiatic Barred Zone, and the Supreme Court had ruled in United States v. Bhagat Singh Thind in 1923 that Indians could not naturalize. The Luce-Celler Act, signed by Harry Truman on July 2, 1946, admitted 100 Indians and 100 Filipinos annually and, far more consequentially, allowed both groups to become citizens. New citizens could then own property in their own names and petition for immediate family. Although a small opening of the United States’ immigration system, Celler used this victory to build momentum toward his greater ambition of radically transforming the country’s immigration policy.

In 1949 Celler took the gavel of the House Judiciary Committee, holding it for 11 terms—the longest chairmanship in that committee’s history—surrendering it only during the brief Republican majority of 1953 to 1955. From that chair he moved the legislation that radically transformed American law. He drove the Civil Rights Acts of 1957 and 1960 through the House. In 1964 he introduced H.R. 7152 and steered it past Southern resistance in partnership with Ohio Republican William McCulloch, a working alliance across party lines that made the Civil Rights Act possible.

Two days after Johnson’s Selma address on March 15, 1965, Celler introduced the administration’s voting rights bill as H.R. 6400. He said the men blocking African Americans from the ballot “must be smashed and banished” and called any obstruction “inexcusable.” Rules Committee chairman Howard Smith of Virginia buried the bill; Celler moved to discharge it and forced it loose. The House passed it 333 to 85, then approved the conference report 328 to 74. Johnson signed the Voting Rights Act on August 6, 1965. Celler added the Civil Rights Act of 1968 three years later.

Another fateful piece of legislation bearing Celler’s name was signed into law that same October. Celler introduced H.R. 2580 in January 1965 as the only member of that Congress who had sat in the chamber in 1924 and voted against Johnson-Reed. Senator Philip Hart of Michigan carried the companion bill in the Senate. As early as 1963 he had introduced bipartisan immigration reform legislation with Prescott Bush, Jacob Javits, and other prominent Republicans as original co-sponsors, and he supplied the per-country cap mechanism that replaced the quota system. Their bill scrapped the national origins formula, allotted 170,000 visas to the Eastern Hemisphere with a ceiling of 20,000 per country, imposed the first numerical ceiling ever placed on the Western Hemisphere, and reserved most remaining slots for relatives of citizens. The House passed it 318 to 95. Johnson signed it at Liberty Island on October 3, 1965, calling it “not a revolutionary bill.”

Celler had promised the same. Speaking on the floor before the vote, he predicted the law would barely register: “There will not be, comparatively, many Asians or Africans entering this country,” he told the chamber, adding that immigrants from Asia and Africa “will have to compete and qualify in order to get in, quantitatively and qualitatively, which, itself will hold the numbers down.” He was wrong. The House passed the bill 318 to 25. The foreign-born population climbed from 9.6 million to 45 million across the next half century, and Pew Research Center counted nearly 59 million arrivals between 1965 and 2015, with the white share of the population falling from 84 percent to 62 percent. The irony cuts deeper. Family preference, the engine of that growth, entered the bill at the insistence of restrictionists who assumed it would keep the country European and who dramatically underestimated how few people it took to create an extensive network of relatives eligible to follow.

Beyond his efforts to fundamentally alter America’s demographic landscape, Celler aggressively targeted the very Second Amendment rights that had been safely and peacefully exercised by Americans for generations. That same year, Celler steered what became the Gun Control Act of 1968 through the House as H.R. 17735. The law was the most sweeping federal firearms legislation since the National Firearms Act of 1934, banning mail-order sales of rifles and shotguns, prohibiting interstate firearms transfers to private individuals, barring felons, fugitives, drug users, and requiring federal licensing for all firearms dealers. It passed as a standalone measure on October 22, 1968.

The same seniority that let Celler reshape the republic let him bottle up what he disliked. For more than 30 years he refused to allow the Equal Rights Amendment out of his committee, declining to hold a single hearing on it despite its introduction in every session of Congress since 1923. When Representative Martha Griffiths and Shirley Chisholm pressed to make it a legislative priority in 1970, Celler opposed their discharge petition from the floor, declaring that “ever since Adam gave up his rib to make a woman, throughout the ages we have learned that physical, emotional, psychological and social differences exist and dare not be disregarded,” and warning that the ERA was “a blunderbuss amendment” that “would erase existing protective female legislation with the most disastrous consequences.”

His resistance reflected his strong ties to organized labor, which opposed the ERA throughout this period on the grounds that it would invalidate state laws providing special workplace protections for women. The discharge petition passed anyway. He lost that battle when Congress sent the ERA to the states in March 1972, and it cost him everything else.

That June, a 31-year-old attorney named Elizabeth Holtzman challenged him in the Democratic primary and beat him—ending 50 years of uninterrupted service and making him the most senior member ever to lose a primary. He had not campaigned seriously in decades and was traveling in Europe when Holtzman launched her effort. Months later the Judiciary Committee he had chaired for a generation opened the Watergate impeachment hearings under Peter Rodino. Celler watched from television studios, dispensing commentary on proceedings he would have run.

For the congressman who reshaped an entire nation’s demographic destiny, watching from a television studio was a strange comedown.

Celler spent his long tenure systematically dismantling the traditional barriers of the gentile establishment, creating a political infrastructure designed to elevate Jewish influence. Paradoxically, this transformation proved so successful that it empowered a younger, more aggressive wing of the tribe to seize the levers of power for themselves. Ultimately, he was discarded by one of his own—a classic case of Jewish fratricide where the architect was consumed by the very dynamic he had spent his life engineering.

He died on January 15, 1981, at 92.

The legacy of Emanuel Celler is written in the landscape of a vanishing America. What he promised would be a minor adjustment was, in truth, an act of demographic warfare that has turned our cities into a modern Tower of Babel. By stripping the founding stock of their legal, social, and cultural defenses, he ensured that future generations would be strangers in their own land, reduced to cattle within a system that prizes the interests of their Jewish exploiters over the survival of their own people.

Armie Hammer spent the summer of 2026 back in the headlines, and not gently. His comeback vehicle, Citizen Vigilante, a low-budget thriller written and directed by the pro-Israel German provocateur Uwe Boll, reached theaters and digital platforms on June 19 and immediately drew fire. Hammer plays Sanders, a wealthy American in Zagreb who guns down criminals, rapists, and the judges he believes let them walk, most of them written as Muslim migrants.

German regulators refused to rate the picture, effectively banning it over fears it incites violence against immigrants. Elon Musk then posted the entire film to X for free, and right wing figures rallied to it. Hammer, who lost his career after 2021 sexual misconduct allegations that Los Angeles prosecutors declined to charge, told The Hollywood Reporter, “I’m pretty sure I cried,” adding, “I just wanted to work again.” He has always denied the accusations, insisting, “I didn’t do what people are saying I did.”

Yet the frenzy over one actor obscures a far stranger Hammer story. Armie’s great grandfather, Armand Hammer, spent nearly a century turning intrigue into a business model, and almost every chapter of his life arrived wrapped in some type of scandal.

Armand Hammer was born in New York City on May 21, 1898, to Julius and Rose Hammer, Jewish immigrants from the Russian Empire. An urban legend held that his father named him for a character in an Alexandre Dumas novel, but Hammer admitted the truth ran the other way. Julius, a committed socialist, named his son after the arm and hammer emblem of the Socialist Labor Party. The accidental echo of the Arm and Hammer baking soda brand, a logo that predated his birth by three decades, dogged him for life, and in 1986 he simply bought a large block of the parent company’s stock and took a board seat so he could stop explaining. He earned a medical degree from Columbia but barely practiced, funding his first fortune instead with a high-alcohol ginger extract that sold like hot cakes throughout Prohibition.

His politics were inherited. Julius Hammer reportedly met Vladimir Lenin in 1907, helped launch the Communist Party USA, and ran finances for an unrecognized Soviet bureau in New York. That radical household pointed Armand east, and it also produced the family’s first courtroom drama. In 1919 a woman died after an illegal abortion in the family clinic, and Julius, a licensed physician, went to Sing Sing for manslaughter. Biographer Edward Jay Epstein, along with Hammer’s own former mistress, later alleged that Armand, then a medical student, actually performed the procedure and let his father shoulder the blame because a credentialed doctor stood a better chance of acquittal, though most historians hold that Julius himself performed it.

In 1921 Armand traveled to Soviet Russia, officially to recover his firm’s debts. J. Edgar Hoover, already tracking radicals, flagged him as a suspected Comintern courier. Once there, Hammer witnessed the Volga famine and brokered a barter of a million bushels of American grain for furs, caviar, and confiscated tsarist treasure. The deal won him an audience with Lenin, who urged him to trade rather than heal and granted him the first American concession the Soviet state ever granted, an asbestos mine in the Urals. Lenin, by many accounts, valued him as a path to the American business world.

Hammer stayed in Moscow for roughly a decade. He represented 38 American companies including Ford, smuggled German machinery into the country piece by piece to build the first Soviet pencil factory, and traded for Romanov treasures that included Fabergé eggs. Skeptics later charged that his ventures doubled as a laundering channel funneling Soviet money into Western banks. When Stalin nationalized his operations around 1930, Hammer sailed home with a fortune in imperial art.

Those years fueled the darkest allegation of all. In his 1996 book Dossier, Epstein branded Hammer a virtual spy whose commerce masked financing for Soviet espionage. Declassified Comintern records published by Yale historians placed both Julius and Armand inside Moscow’s covert money network in the 1920s. French intelligence chief Alexandre de Marenches reportedly warned President Ronald Reagan that Hammer served as a Soviet “agent of influence.” Not everyone accepted the spy thesis, however: a Soviet general quoted by Kommersant concluded that “Hammer worked only for himself,” judging that most of what he offered Moscow was impossible to verify. Hammer’s access, in any case, was unmatched. Hammer dealt personally with Lenin, Khrushchev, and Brezhnev, who pinned the Order of Friendship of Peoples on him in 1978, and later with Gorbachev, for whom he flew physicians into Chernobyl. Only Stalin held him at arm’s length.

Back home, Hammer chased tax shelters into petroleum. In 1956 he sank money into two wildcat wells drilled by the failing Occidental Petroleum, both struck crude, and by 1957 he controlled the company. His prize lay in Libya, where Occidental tapped enormous low-sulfur fields under King Idris. When Muammar Gaddafi seized power in 1969 and demanded higher prices, Hammer, dependent almost entirely on Libyan oil while the majors held diversified reserves, broke ranks and caved. As the Washington Post recounted, his surrender rippled across the industry, forcing the big companies to renegotiate and effectively handing pricing power to OPEC.

Scandal shadowed every success. In 1972 a Hammer operative delivered $54,000 in laundered bills to Nixon’s re-election campaign, illegal contributions later pursued by the Watergate special prosecutor. Hammer pleaded guilty in 1976 to the charges and drew probation and a fine, then lobbied for years until President George H.W. Bush pardoned him in 1989. Meanwhile Occidental’s Hooker Chemical subsidiary had poisoned the Love Canal in Niagara Falls, driving hundreds of families from their homes and ending in a $20 million settlement. Investigators cataloged bribes paid for oil concessions, and art historian John Richardson, who ran Hammer’s Knoedler gallery, flatly called him “a veteran con man,” pointing to Fabergé fakes stamped with genuine hallmarks.

Hammer also kept a dynasty on retainer. He partnered with the future senator Al Gore Sr. on cattle in 1950, and a Hoover memo conceded the FBI could not pursue Hammer because of connections in Congress that protected him. After Gore Sr. lost his Senate seat, Hammer paid him more than $500,000 a year to chair an Occidental subsidiary. The patronage passed to Al Gore Jr., whose Tennessee farm Occidental leased for inflated zinc payments on land it never mined. Vice President Gore in 1995 backed privatizing the Elk Hills reserves, which Occidental then bought for $3.65 billion.

For all his Arab oil deals, Hammer led a hidden second life bound to Israel. The Arab boycott forced him to bury any public ties to Zionism, yet he shuttled secret messages between the Kremlin and Israeli leaders and slept in the homes of Golda Meir and Moshe Dayan. In 1985, Prime Minister Shimon Peres confirmed the arrangement, describing Hammer as “the American Jew… who was a friend of Lenin.” He poured roughly $60 million into a Negev oil venture and cof-ounded Isramco. He also spent his Kremlin credit on Soviet Jews, flying the ailing refusenik David Goldfarb out of Moscow in 1986 and Ida Nudel to Israel in 1987. The Jewish Telegraphic Agency wrote that he “may have done more than any single individual to help secure freedom for Soviet Jews in the pre-glasnost era.”

Hammer died on December 10, 1990, one day before the bar mitzvah he had finally scheduled at age 92. Within hours, his grandson Michael, Armie’s father, was seen overseeing the removal of files and valuables from the house, and a bitter fight broke out over an estate far smaller than the billionaire legend had promised.

Armand Hammer spent a lifetime laundering Soviet money, poisoning American neighborhoods, and bribing presidents. Armie Hammer spent his prime years accused of the kind of depravity that usually ends careers. The family story is not one of redemption or assimilation. It is a straight line of dysfunction, one that suggests no amount of wealth or Western education can overwrite what runs in the blood.

He operated from the shadows, shunned cameras, and cultivated an aura of mystery that made him appear less like a political consultant and more like a figure from a spy novel. Arthur Jay Finkelstein spent half a century whispering in the ears of presidents, prime ministers, and strongmen, teaching them the dark arts of political destruction. By the time he died in August 2017, his fingerprints covered the wreckage of democratic norms across three continents.

Finkelstein was born May 18, 1945 in Brooklyn’s East New York neighborhood to Jewish immigrant parents from Eastern Europe. His father drove a cab and worked in the garment trade. The family relocated to Levittown and later to Queens, where young Arthur attended Forest Hills High School. As a Columbia University student he produced radio programs for Ayn Rand, the libertarian philosopher whose ideas would mold his worldview for decades. He volunteered for the Draft Goldwater Committee in 1963 and 1964, getting his start in conservative insurgent politics before earning a degree in political science from Queens College in 1967.

A 1996 CNN report captured his mystique perfectly, calling him “the stuff of Hollywood: A man who can topple even the most powerful foes, yet so secretive that few have ever seen him.” He described himself as “the playwright or the director, and not the actor.” His rivals proved less charitable. Political consultant Philip Friedmann called him “the ultimate sort of Dr. Strangelove.” In Canada, where he exported his techniques, journalists dubbed him the “Merchant of Venom.”

The venom flowed from a methodology his clients called “Finkel-think.” The core premise was elegant in its cynicism: rather than persuade voters to back your candidate, you destroy the opponent so thoroughly that even apathetic citizens drag themselves to the polls to vote against him. Finkelstein believed perception mattered more than policy, that facts were malleable, and that people could be made to hate individuals more readily than institutions. His most celebrated innovation was transforming the word “liberal” into a political epithet. Political scientist Darrell M. West told the Boston Globe in 1996 that “He uses a sledgehammer in every race. I’ve detected five phrases he uses—ultraliberal, superliberal, embarrassingly liberal, foolishly liberal and unbelievably liberal.”

It was a method that delivered results, and Finkelstein delivered them almost immediately. He climbed the political ladder rapidly. At 25, he helped James L. Buckley win New York’s six-person 1970 Senate race. In 1972, his polling helped make Jesse Helms the first Republican elected to the Senate from North Carolina since Reconstruction. By the time he signed on with Canada’s National Citizens Coalition in 1982, nearly half of Republican Senators were his clients.

His client roster read like a directory of Senate conservatism across four decades: Jesse Helms of North Carolina, Alfonse D’Amato of New York, Strom Thurmond of South Carolina, Orrin Hatch of Utah, Don Nickles of Oklahoma, and Connie Mack III of Florida. He helped George Pataki unseat Mario Cuomo in 1994 by branding the governor as “too liberal for too long.” Finkelstein also worked on Ronald Reagan’s 1980 presidential campaign.

His most celebrated international achievement came in Israel. Hired by Benjamin Netanyahu in 1996 on the recommendation of cosmetics heir Ronald Lauder, Finkelstein engineered a come-from-behind victory over Shimon Peres that defied all pre-election polls. He brought American-style attack advertising to Israeli soil, running television spots featuring shattering black glass, blurry photographs of Peres with Yasser Arafat, and scenes of suicide bombings. The campaign centered on the slogan “Peres will divide Jerusalem.” Netanyahu ultimately won by a single percentage point, 50.5 percent to 49.5 percent.

Through their joint firm GEB International, Finkelstein and Israeli-American political consultant George Birnbaum subsequently worked for Ariel Sharon’s 2001 prime ministerial campaign, Avigdor Lieberman’s Yisrael Beiteinu party, and Jerusalem mayoral candidate Nir Barkat in 2008. His family’s statement after his death noted that he “helped develop Benjamin Netanyahu’s vision for a ‘secure peace’ and helped voters to view the hawkish war general Ariel Sharon as a leader who was also a trusted grandfatherly figure.”

His most controversial work, however, took place in Hungary. In 2008, Netanyahu introduced Orbán to Finkelstein and Birnbaum, who began advising Fidesz in secret. They helped Orbán secure a landslide in 2010 by channeling rage from the 2008 financial crisis against “the bureaucrats” and “foreign capital.” Then came the masterstroke that would define Finkelstein’s legacy and haunt it.

With Orbán safely installed in power, Finkelstein and Birnbaum confronted a new problem: there was no longer a clear enemy. In 2013, Finkelstein told Birnbaum that “you did not fight against the Nazis but against Adolf Hitler”—an enemy required a face. After polling confirmed that George Soros, the Hungarian-born Jewish billionaire and liberal philanthropist, was sufficiently known to Hungarian voters to serve as the anchor of a negative campaign, Finkelstein identified him as the ideal target. The campaign cast Soros as a puppet master orchestrating a secret conspiracy to flood Hungary with Muslim migrants and destroy Christian civilization. Billboards across Hungary in May 2017 displayed a grinning Soros with the text “Let’s not allow Soros to have the last laugh!”

Back home, Finkelstein’s reach stretched into the highest levels of American politics, though he rarely appeared in the frame himself. His connection to Donald Trump ran primarily through his disciples, a cohort his protégés called “Arthur’s kids.” Roger Stone was among his earliest, working alongside him on Republican campaigns dating back to the Nixon era. A birthday note from Finkelstein to Stone dated 2000, discovered in Finkelstein’s Library of Congress papers, read: “Dear Roger, Have a happy next 1,000 years, and may Donald Trump be President for 900 of them.” Tony Fabrizio, another Finkelstein trainee, served as Trump’s chief pollster in 2016 and 2024. John McLaughlin, who began his career under Finkelstein in the 1980s, became one of Trump’s most trusted pollsters across all three presidential campaigns.

Late in life, Finkelstein appeared to reckon with the forces his methods had unleashed. In a rare 2011 lecture at Prague’s Cevro Institute, he offered something resembling a confession. “I hate the Republican field,” he said of the 2012 primary field. He lamented the rise of “anti-Mexican, anti-Muslim” anger within the party. And then he delivered a verdict on his own career: “I wanted to change the world. And I said, I did; I made it worse.”

He died on August 18, 2017 in Ipswich, Massachusetts. His papers, now housed at the Library of Congress in 139 boxes, document a career that reshaped conservative politics across three continents. His disciples continue running campaigns for presidents and prime ministers. His methods remain the template for conservative attack politics worldwide.

His late-life regret rings hollow. Finkelstein chose his craft. He taught candidates that facts are malleable and that policy doesn’t matter. His Jewish pedigree as a shadowy Svengali demands further scrutiny. By the time he died, his methods had metastasized across the West, making a mockery of democratic deliberation.

The story begins in Portugal around 1524, where a boy named João Miques was born into a family that had been forced to convert to Christianity under the Inquisition. His father, Agostinho Micas, was a physician and professor at the University of Lisbon who died in 1525, when Joseph was barely a year old. Through his aunt Doña Gracia Mendes Nasi, the family was connected to the Mendes banking dynasty, one of the wealthiest and most powerful Jewish merchant houses in Europe, but that wealth could not protect them from the relentless pressure of the Portuguese Inquisition.

When the Inquisition intensified its pressure around 1537, the young João followed his aunt Doña Gracia Mendes Nasi to Antwerp, where the family had established one of the most extensive banking and trading houses in Europe. He studied at the University of Louvain, graduating on September 1, 1542 as Dominus Johannes Micas. There he cultivated close personal relationships with Emperor Charles V, Queen Mary of the Netherlands, and the future Emperor Maximilian II.

None of it mattered. The constant performance of a false Catholic identity gnawed at him and his family. They lived as marranos, outwardly Christian but secretly Jewish, always one denunciation away from the stake. They resolved to escape to Ottoman territory, where Jews could practice their faith openly under the protection of the Sultan.

The odyssey from Portugal to freedom was treacherous. After stops in Antwerp and France, the family moved to Venice around 1549. However, the Republic proved hostile territory. Doña Gracia was imprisoned around 1549 on charges of Judaizing (the act of openly practicing Judaism.) She was denounced before Venetian authorities by her own sister Brianda, in a dispute over the family estate, which led to the confiscation of her property. Joseph subsequently intervened, appealing directly to Sultan Suleiman I through the court physician Moses Hamon, and secured her release through Ottoman diplomatic pressure. She then fled to Ferrara, where she openly resumed her Jewish identity for the first time.

By 1554, Nasi arrived in the imperial capital. He was circumcised, publicly reclaimed his Jewish identity, took the name Joseph Nasi, and married his cousin Reyna, the daughter of Doña Gracia. Constantinople, the heart of the most powerful empire on earth, became his permanent home. From there, he began to build something unprecedented.

His first major power play was backing Selim, the future Sultan, against his rival brother Bayezid in the succession struggle—a bet that would pay off enormously. When Selim II ascended the throne in 1566, Nasi became his closest confidante and favorite at court. He accumulated extraordinary economic privileges. A monopoly on the wine trade through the Black Sea brought him substantial annual revenue, while the beeswax trade with Poland fell under his control as well. Nasi also dominated commerce with Moldavia, where he maneuvered to keep pro-Nasi princes on the throne.

In 1566, Sultan Selim II formally appointed Nasi Duke of Naxos and the adjacent Cyclades archipelago—including Andros, Paros, and Santorini. It was an unprecedented honor for a Jewish man in the Christian-dominated Mediterranean world. He governed his duchy remotely from his palace at Belvedere near Constantinople, paying an annual tribute of 14,000 ducats while keeping the rest of the proceeds for himself.

Acting as a de facto foreign minister, he drew on an unmatched network of agents, spies, and commercial contacts across Europe to shape Ottoman strategic decisions. He played a central role in brokering the 1562 peace between Poland and Turkey, backed rival princes in Moldavia and Wallachia to keep pro-Ottoman rulers in power, and maintained contact with William of Orange, actively encouraging the Dutch revolt against Spain and so weakening the Ottomans’ arch-rival, the Habsburgs. Holy Roman Emperor Maximilian II maintained direct personal correspondence with Nasi on matters of political consequence. Foreign powers regularly used him as an intermediary to gain concessions from the Sublime Porte.

Nasi also knew how to use Ottoman power for personal vengeance. The French crown owed him approximately 150,000 scudi, a debt that Charles IX had voided on the grounds that Jews could not legally lend to Christians in France. Nasi obtained a Sultan’s firman (royal mandate) ordering the confiscation of French ships at Alexandria as repayment. After protests, the Sultan revoked the broader order but kept roughly 42,000 ducats worth of French goods. A man the French crown had cheated now had the ear of the most powerful sovereign in the world.

The most consequential act of Nasi’s career was his role in engineering the Ottoman-Venetian War over Cyprus. In 1569, Nasi threw his full weight behind the war faction in Constantinople, and contemporary reports widely cast him as the conflict’s chief political instigator. He bore a deep resentment toward Venice and hoped to be named King of Cyprus once it was conquered, having already commissioned a crown and a royal banner to that end.

The Ottomans conquered Cyprus in 1571, but suffered a catastrophic naval defeat at the Battle of Lepanto at the hands of the Holy League. After Lepanto, the peace faction led by Grand Vizier Sokollu gained dominance at court, and Nasi’s influence began its terminal decline. The Cyprus kingship never materialized.

Yet even as his political fortunes crested and fell, Nasi had already embarked on something that would outlast his lifetime and anticipate movements centuries ahead. In 1561, Nasi obtained a formal grant giving him full authority over Tiberias and seven surrounding villages in Galilee in exchange for an annual payment to the treasury. What followed was unprecedented. Nasi rebuilt the walls of Tiberias, planted mulberry trees, and attempted to build up a silk and wool textile industry that would make the colony economically self-sustaining, while circular letters went out to Jewish communities across Italy inviting mass emigration.

The settlement ultimately faltered. The outbreak of the Ottoman-Venetian War cut off Italian Jewish emigration routes. Pope Pius V’s 1569 bull banishing Jews from the Papal States had spurred interest in Tiberias, and the community of Cori in the Campagna—numbering about 200 souls—decided to emigrate in a body. But a 1569 transport of 102 Pesaro Jews was captured by Maltese pirates and sold into slavery. Local opposition harassed the rebuilding efforts. Political intrigues by Nasi’s enemies at court undermined his focus. Crucially, Nasi himself never visited Tiberias. Nevertheless, he remained its titular lord until his death, and historians cite this as the only practical attempt to establish a Jewish political center in Palestine between the 4th and 19th centuries.

Nasi accumulated enemies as readily as he accumulated influence. When Pope Paul IV burned Jewish conversos at the stake in Ancona, Doña Gracia and Joseph organized an international economic boycott of the port, redirecting Ottoman Jewish merchant traffic to the rival port of Pesaro. The boycott collapsed due to internal divisions within the Jewish community, competing commercial interests winning out over solidarity.

His relative Abraham Benveniste was arrested in 1570 on charges of having set fire to the Venetian Arsenal in September 1569, sabotage allegedly instigated by Nasi himself in the tense lead-up to the Cyprus War. The charge was never definitively proven but illustrated how far Nasi’s covert operations reached. His clandestine negotiations with the Jewish community of Famagusta in Venetian-held Cyprus were uncovered in June 1568, resulting in the expulsion of the city’s non-native Jewish population.

After the Battle of Lepanto and the death of his patron Selim II in 1574, Nasi was effectively frozen out of active politics. He spent his final years at his Belvedere palace, patronizing Jewish scholars and maintaining a Hebrew printing press. He died on August 2, 1579. His widow Reyna maintained his library, opened it to scholars, and operated the Hebrew printing press into the late 1590s.

Historian Cecil Roth, who wrote the definitive biography, judged that while Nasi’s career produced few direct lasting results, it proved that a Jew could function as a prominent public official and sovereign power in the 16^th-century world. His Tiberias project, though a practical failure, is now widely regarded as the first concrete political attempt at Jewish territorial resettlement—three centuries before Theodor Herzl.

Joseph Nasi’s career serves as an early, definitive display of how organized Jewry can penetrate and manipulate the highest levels of a host empire’s government. By re-positioning himself from a persecuted converso to a primary power broker in Constantinople, Nasi demonstrated that the apparatus of a great power could be successfully hijacked to serve the specific, ethno-centric interests of his people. Centuries later, this same operational methodology would be perfected by Jewish neoconservatives—from Irving Kristol to Douglas Feith—who mirrored Nasi’s efforts by steering U.S. foreign policy toward the strategic goals of organized Jewry rather than the welfare of the American people.

Nasi’s career as a courtly architect of foreign policy served as a precursor to the modern neoconservative capture of the U.S. government, further proving that organized Jewry can repeatedly commandeer a superpower to advance its own ethnic interests.

When Abraham Foxman died on May 10, 2026, tributes poured in from presidents, prime ministers, and Jewish leaders worldwide, yet his legacy remains defined as much by controversy as by accomplishment.

Foxman described himself as “a passionate supporter of the State of Israel” and spent his career building the ADL into a roughly $60 million per year organization that defined mainstream American Jewish advocacy on antisemitism, civil rights, and the Jewish state.

Foxman was born Avraham Chanoch Hanach Fuksman on May 1, 1940, in Baranovichi, then under Soviet occupation, now Belarus. When German forces entered Vilnius in June 1941 and began subjecting the Jewish population to forced labor and deportation, his parents placed their 15-month-old son in the care of his Polish Catholic nanny Bronisława Kurpi. Kurpi baptized the child into the Catholic Church, gave him the Polish Christian name Henryk Stanisław Kurpi, and raised him as a Catholic in Vilnius for four years. He learned to pray the rosary, attended church every Sunday, and genuinely believed he was Catholic.

His parents survived the war. After bitter custody battles—Kurpi initially refused to release him, telling the Fuksmans, “I raised him, and he belongs to me, and he is Catholic”—the family escaped to a displaced persons’ camp in Vienna in 1947 and arrived in the United States in 1950.

Foxman settled in Brooklyn, attended the Yeshivah of Flatbush, earned a Bachelor of Arts from the City College of New York, and received his J.D. from New York University School of Law. He joined the ADL in 1965 as a legal assistant and rose quickly through the organization’s ranks. When longtime director Nathan Perlmutter died of cancer in July 1987, Foxman became National Director.

Under Foxman’s 28-year leadership, the ADL built a formidable research arm monitoring white advocacy groups, neo-Nazis, and other dissident groups. The ADL expanded its international reach with consultations across Europe, Russia, the Middle East, Asia, and Latin America. Foxman was appointed to the council of the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum by President Ronald Reagan in 1987 and was re-appointed by Presidents George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and Joe Biden—making him, as the USHMM confirmed, “the only member of the Museum’s governing Council to be appointed by four presidents from both parties.”

With Foxman at the helm, the ADL also advocated for LGBTQ rights, including protesting the Supreme Court’s 2000 ruling in Boy Scouts of America v. Dale—which held 5-4 that the Boy Scouts could exclude a gay scoutmaster on First Amendment associational grounds. The organization also developed diversity training for law enforcement agencies and advocated for policies promoting mass migration.

Foxman operated at the center of American Jewry. The ADL and AIPAC were close partners in White House meetings and lobbying coordination. Foxman was a key participant in the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations and worked closely with the American Jewish Committee on public advocacy.

Further, Foxman was one of the most internationally active American Jewish leaders of his era. In March 2012, releasing the ADL’s survey of ten European countries, Foxman warned that antisemitism in Europe remained a dangerous reality. “In Hungary, Spain and Poland the numbers for anti-Semitic attitudes are literally off-the-charts and demand a serious response from political, civic and religious leaders,” he stated—findings based on poll data showing 63% of Hungarians, 53% of Spaniards, and 48% of Poles holding antisemitic views.

Foxman held consultations in Russia on “problems of ethnic hatred, violence, terrorism and promoting democracy,” attended Limmud FSU conferences engaging Russian-speaking Jewish youth, and remained deeply concerned about antisemitism in post-Soviet states. He consistently condemned Arab and Palestinian resistance and Hamas’s liberation agenda. He insisted that much criticism of Israel crossed into antisemitism, arguing: “If the only nationalism that you find apartheid in is Jewish nationalism, then you’re an anti-Semite.”

Retiring in 2015, Foxman warned that antisemitism was “the worst that it has been since World War II, and it is global”—saying he “never thought anti-Semitism would still be a clear and present danger to Jews around the world.” In 2024, he delivered an address at the ADL’s “Never Is Now” conference stating that antisemitism is “a disease without an antidote and without a vaccine.”

Foxman viewed Iran under President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as an existential threat. In a 2007 speech to the ADL National Commission, he declared: “The greatest threat to the Jewish people and closest thing to dangers of the 1930s and 1940s is a potent cocktail consisting of the ideology of hate from an Iran with a potential nuclear weapon. This is an existential threat to Israel from an irrational regime that must be taken with the utmost seriousness.” When Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei posted content questioning the Holocaust on Twitter in 2014, Foxman responded: “Once again, the injection of Holocaust denial by an Iranian leader shows the world how such deep-seated hatred exists at the helm in Iran. We have seen the Ayatollah spew his vehement animosity toward Jews before on other national occasions in Iran and these statements once again show the bigotry and hypocrisy of this regime.”

Weeks before his death, Foxman backed the U.S.-Israel war on Iran. On February 28, 2026—the day the war broke out—he posted on social media: “Thank you President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu for standing up to evil and jihadist extremism. The world hopefully will be a better and safer place in the future.”

Foxman’s willingness to take controversial public stands was no late development. He led or supported numerous high-profile campaigns throughout his career. When Nation of Islam spokesperson Khalid Abdul Muhammad delivered a speech at Kean College in November 1993 referring to Jews as “bloodsuckers” and calling for the genocide of white people, Foxman’s ADL ran a full-page ad in The New York Times reprinting Muhammad’s statements. This mobilization directly contributed to Congress issuing a bipartisan condemnation of the speech in February 1994.

Foxman regularly addressed antisemitic or borderline remarks by public figures. In September 2003, during pre-release controversy over The Passion of the Christ, he asserted that Gibson’s remarks were painting “the portrait of an anti-Semite”—though he walked back the characterization the following day, and by February 2004 told ABC’s Diane Sawyer that Gibson was not an anti-Semite and the film was not antisemitic. Foxman co-authored the 2013 book Viral Hate: Containing Its Spread on the Internet with attorney Christopher Wolf, who served as national chair of the ADL Civil Rights Committee, addressing how antisemites and racists exploited the internet.

Foxman produced several other books warning about the alleged scourge of antisemitism. Never Again? The Threat of the New Anti-Semitism appeared in 2003. The Deadliest Lies: The Israel Lobby and the Myth of Jewish Control came out in 2007 as a direct rebuttal to John Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt’s The Israel Lobby and U.S. Foreign Policy, which Publishers Weekly described as “a rebuttal of a pernicious theory about a mythically powerful Jewish lobby.”

Not all of Foxman’s tenure at the ADL would be remembered in such favorable terms. In April 1993, San Francisco police and the FBI executed searches at ADL offices in California and discovered that the organization had been running an extensive domestic intelligence operation for decades. The operation centered on Roy Bullock, an undercover operative and art dealer who had collected files on more than 12,000 individuals and 950 organizations for more than three decades. His targets included not just white advocates and neo-Nazis but also Arab American groups, the American Civil Liberties Union, the African National Congress, Central America solidarity organizations, Greenpeace, the Earth Island Institute, approximately 20 San Francisco area labor unions, anti-apartheid activists, and Jewish peace groups. Bullock had also sold information to South African intelligence for $16,000.

Foxman denied any improper activity while testifying that the ADL had a right to do “whatever it must” to monitor antisemitism and threats to Jews. Critics across the political spectrum condemned the operation as a massive breach of civil liberties.

One of the most sustained controversies of Foxman’s career involved his refusal to unequivocally recognize the Armenian genocide. Critics, including the Armenian National Committee of America, accused Foxman of “genocide denial” motivated by the ADL’s desire to maintain good relations with the Turkish government. The backlash was severe. A dozen Massachusetts communities and the Massachusetts Municipal Association withdrew from the ADL’s “No Place for Hate” program. The ADL’s 2007 statement that the “consequences” of Ottoman actions were “tantamount to genocide” was widely rejected as insufficient because it circumvented the “intent” required under the 1948 UN Genocide Convention. Foxman also sent a letter to Turkish Prime Minister Erdoğan expressing regret over the difficulty his position caused for the Turkish government. It was not until May 2014 that Foxman publicly and unambiguously used the word “genocide” in remarks at Suffolk University Law School’s commencement, after years of sustained pressure.

The Armenian Genocide controversy was not the only multi-decade fight to mark Foxman’s career. Foxman engaged in a 22-year campaign against paleoconservative commentator Pat Buchanan. After Buchanan’s 2011 book Suicide of a Superpower was published, Foxman called him “a racist and an anti-Semite.” Buchanan was suspended from MSNBC in January 2012 and fired in February, and he publicly credited Foxman with playing a role in his dismissal. The ADL published a formal report titled “Patrick Buchanan: Over the Line.” Buchanan described Foxman as leading efforts to “blacklist” him, working “behind closed doors, with phone calls, mailed threats, and off-the-record meetings.” In a similar vein, Justin Raimondo, founder of Antiwar.com, was one of the most sustained libertarian critics of the ADL and Foxman. Raimondo argued that the ADL used antisemitism accusations to suppress foreign policy debate.

Whatever his American critics made of him, Foxman moved comfortably among Israel’s top political leadership across multiple governments. Foxman met with multiple Israeli prime ministers, some of whom made direct appeals to President Bill Clinton for the Marc Rich pardon. Foxman cooperated with World Jewish Congress leader Edgar Bronfman on major campaigns including Holocaust-era Swiss bank restitution. While the primary negotiation was led by Bronfman and the World Jewish Congress, the ADL under Foxman was a coalition partner in pressing Swiss banks to settle Holocaust-era claims, which resulted in a $1.25 billion settlement in 1998.

Foxman made a well-documented intervention in favor of fugitive financier Marc Rich’s pardon from President Clinton. The ADL had received $250,000 from Rich over a period of 16 years, including a $100,000 pledge made just before Foxman traveled to Paris. In February 2000, Foxman met at a Paris restaurant with Avner Azulay, head of the Marc Rich Foundation, and Zvi Rafiah, an Israeli arms consultant, and it was Foxman himself who proposed the strategy of recruiting Denise Rich to approach Clinton for a pardon. “I told them maybe they should consider trying to get a pardon,” Foxman said. “I told them, ‘Why don’t you reach out to Denise Rich... and have her approach the president and see about a pardon.’”

He wrote Clinton on December 7, 2000, urging a pardon on the grounds that “we are a country that was founded on the belief in second chances.” New York Times columnist William Safire called for Foxman to resign, writing that Rich’s $250,000 to the ADL had “induced its national director to lobby President Bill Clinton for forgiveness and thereby bring glee to the hearts of anti-Semites.”

Abraham Foxman was the consummate architect of a specific brand of ethnic activism, relentlessly searching for every angle to advance Jewish institutional interests and cement a landscape where the concerns of world Jewry were elevated above all others. Yet, even as he built these formidable structures of influence, he unwittingly accelerated the very forces he claimed to fight.

His career served as a catalyst for a tide of grassroots resentment against World Jewry that has only surged since October 7, 2023. Like many of his kin who sought to reshape Western nations in their own image, Foxman dedicated his life to the systematic erosion of gentile civilization for the benefit of his tribe.

Now that he has exited the stage, he leaves behind a nation awakening to the nature of his subversion. May he face that eternal justice that human institutions could not provide, aware that the tide has finally turned against the Jewish supremacist agenda he spent his entire life promoting.

Leftist commentators consistently push a shallow and economically reductive narrative that frames American foreign policy as the sole domain of greedy White capitalists while choosing to ignore the obvious Jewish power structure directing these events. When the veneer of this supposed corporate imperialism is stripped away, it becomes clear that the United States has often served as a vehicle for the specific goals of organized Jewry. The life of Samuel Zemurray stands as prime evidence of this hidden mechanism.

Few figures in American business history wielded power as ruthlessly or as secretly as Zemurray. Born Schmiel Zmurri on January 18, 1877, to a poor Jewish family in Imperial Russia, this teenage immigrant would rise from peddling rotting bananas off railroad cars in Alabama to become the controlling force behind the United Fruit Company, the most powerful agricultural corporation on earth. Along the way he overthrew governments, bribed presidents, hired mercenaries, and played a pivotal behind-the-scenes role in the creation of the State of Israel.

The man who would topple presidents arrived with nothing but a steamer ticket and family connections in the Deep South. After his father died, the 14-year-old Zemurray emigrated to the United States in 1892, traveling in steerage class and landing in New York before making his way to Selma, Alabama, where relatives had settled. He worked as a chicken catcher, carpenter’s assistant, delivery boy, traveling merchant, and housecleaner, eventually saving enough to bring his mother and 6 siblings over from Europe. Standing approximately 6 feet 3 inches tall with enormous energy and hustle, Zemurray was described as a man who could swear fluently in 5 languages. He encountered his first banana around 1893 in Selma, at that time an exotic and expensive delicacy in the United States, and the fruit became his life’s obsession.

Zemurray brought to the banana trade the same scrappy, rule-bending hustle that had carried him from steerage to a Selma general store. In 1895, at age 18, Zemurray traveled to the docks of Mobile, Alabama, and built a niche specializing in what the industry called “ripes” — bananas that were nearly overripe and being discarded by importers. He bought them for pennies and rushed them inland by rail before they spoiled, famously bribing Western Union telegraph operators to wire ahead with sales offers to towns along the route. Starting with just $150, he had saved $100,000 by age 21 and earned the lifelong nickname “Sam the Banana Man.” By selling bananas directly off moving trains, Zemurray turned minimal investments into substantial profits and was soon selling over one million bananas annually.

In 1903, Zemurray signed a contract with United Fruit giving him rights to distribute the company’s ripest bananas. He partnered with Ashbell Hubbard to form the Hubbard-Zemurray Company and by 1905 had moved to New Orleans, acquired the Thatcher Brothers Steamship Company, and taken control of the Cuyamel Fruit Company. By 1910, he had bought 5,000 acres along the Cuyamel River in Honduras near Omoa and borrowed aggressively to expand into plantations, railroads, and bridges. Unlike the patrician executives of United Fruit who ran operations from their offices in Boston, Zemurray spent months each year working directly on his Central American plantations, learning conversational Spanish, mapping land, clearing fields with a machete, killing snakes, and supervising construction in person.

Zemurray’s appetite for direct action soon extended far beyond plantation supervision. The most audacious act of Zemurray’s early career was his personal financing and orchestration of a coup d’état in Honduras in 1910 and 1911. The crisis arose when U.S. Secretary of State Philander C. Knox attempted to resolve Honduras’s large debt to British banks by having J.P. Morgan buy the bonds, in exchange for which a Morgan bank official would collect customs duties on Honduran imports. This arrangement would have obliterated the tax concessions Zemurray had privately negotiated with Honduran officials, effectively threatening to destroy his business. After lobbying the State Department unsuccessfully and being told directly to “butt out” of U.S.-Honduras relations, Zemurray devised an alternative.

While under surveillance by U.S. Secret Service agents enforcing neutrality laws, Zemurray recruited mercenaries in the French Quarter of New Orleans, hired the flamboyant soldier of fortune Lee Christmas and the notorious mercenary Guy “Machine Gun” Molony, and purchased a former U.S. Navy vessel called the Hornet. The conspirators evaded Secret Service surveillance, slipped away from New Orleans, and sailed to Honduras with rifles and ammunition Zemurray had stashed on Ship Island. They joined forces with Manuel Bonilla, the former Honduran president whom Zemurray supported as the preferred replacement. Through a combination of military action, bluffing, and recruiting local rebel forces, the coup succeeded. Bonilla was inaugurated as president of Honduras on February 1, 1912, and immediately rewarded Zemurray with extensive land concessions, duty-free import privileges, and favorable tax arrangements.

The spoils of that intervention elevated Zemurray from ambitious importer to regional kingmaker. Zemurray became known as “the uncrowned king of Central America.” After Bonilla’s death in 1913, he controlled a string of Honduran presidents and in 1925 secured exclusive lumber rights to 1/10 of Honduran territory. The episode established the template for what came to be called “banana republic” politics.

In 1929, Zemurray sold Cuyamel to United Fruit for $31.5 million in stock, becoming one of the wealthiest men in America and the single largest individual stockholder in the company. He nominally retired and moved to an estate outside New Orleans. But the Great Depression devastated United Fruit. The company’s stock collapsed by roughly 90 percent, wiping out most of Zemurray’s fortune. After his written suggestions were dismissed and his proposals ignored at board meetings, Zemurray took extraordinary action — traveling personally to visit individual shareholders and collecting their proxy votes. At a dramatic board meeting in 1932 or 1933, Zemurray placed the collected proxies on the table and reportedly declared to the assembled executives, “You’ve been fucking up this business long enough. I’m going to straighten it out.” He became managing director immediately and then formally president of United Fruit in 1938, serving until 1951.

Under Zemurray’s leadership, United Fruit became a behemoth. It owned rail transportation monopolies, radio communications infrastructure, steamship lines, and port facilities across 13 nations. In some Central American countries, the company operated as what critics described as “a state within a state.” Zemurray openly admitted that bribery was the foundation of his operations.

The most historically catastrophic action tied to Zemurray and United Fruit was the 1954 CIA-backed coup that overthrew Guatemalan President Jacobo Árbenz, a democratically elected leader who had introduced agrarian land reforms. Árbenz’s land reform law, Decree 900, expropriated uncultivated United Fruit land for redistribution to landless peasants. Under Zemurray’s influence, United Fruit launched one of history’s most consequential corporate lobbying campaigns.

Edward Bernays, known as “the father of public relations,” orchestrated press tours, planted stories, and produced films painting Guatemala as a Soviet beachhead in the Western Hemisphere. Both Secretary of State John Foster Dulles and CIA Director Allen Dulles had prior connections to United Fruit as former partners at Sullivan and Cromwell, the company’s main law firm. President Eisenhower authorized Operation PBSUCCESS with a $2.7 million budget. The CIA armed and trained a force under Carlos Castillo Armas, conducted psychological warfare operations, and engineered Árbenz’s resignation on June 27, 1954. Castillo Armas installed a military dictatorship that reversed land reforms, eliminated labor rights, and initiated decades of U.S.-backed military rule that led to over 200,000 deaths in a decades-long civil war.

While Zemurray built his banana empire in public view, he pursued another project almost entirely in the shadows. Beginning in the 1920s, he became personally close with Chaim Weizmann, the leader of the World Zionist Organization and Israel’s eventual first president. At the end of World War II, Zemurray was approached by Zionist leaders and asked to help procure ships for the clandestine network transporting Jews from displaced persons camps in postwar Europe to British Mandate Palestine. Working entirely behind the scenes, he raised money and used his connections to facilitate logistics.

The Jewish corporate magnate was instrumental in obtaining the ship that became the Exodus 1947 for the Haganah, which would explain its Honduran registration — Zemurray’s United Fruit Company effectively controlled much of Honduras. The Exodus carried over 4,500 Jewish refugees toward Palestine in 1947 before being intercepted by the British Royal Navy. The incident became an international cause célèbre and accelerated international support for Jewish statehood.

Zemurray’s most consequential contribution to the founding of Israel was his behind-the-scenes lobbying effort that helped secure passage of UN Resolution 181 on November 29, 1947, the Partition Plan that divided Mandatory Palestine into Jewish and Arab states. The resolution required a 2/3 majority to pass. According to author Rich Cohen, Zemurray made calls from his New Orleans home to Latin American heads of state, pressing for affirmative votes or abstentions. Haiti switched from a “no” vote to an abstention. Nicaragua switched from an abstention to a “yes.” In total, 13 of the 33 “yes” votes came from Latin America, including countries where United Fruit operated.

Samuel Zemurray died in New Orleans on November 30, 1961, at age 84. His philanthropy included major donations to Tulane University, the New Orleans Museum of Art, the Audubon Nature Institute, and Jewish refugee relief efforts. He also contributed financially to The Nation magazine.

If we look closely at the history of 20th century American interventionism, the shadow of the Jewish hand becomes impossible to ignore. Zemurray was not an outlier but a precursor to the modern reality where the United States operates as a private military company for the advancement of Jewish interests abroad.

The multitude of seemingly perpetual interventions of the past century were not driven by the abstract greed of villainous, White American billionaires but by the deliberate orchestration of a distinct group with its own tribal loyalties. We are destined to remain powerless subjects in our own land as long as we fail to unmask the true masters of our state and break free from the suffocating grasp of Jewish supremacy.

Recognizing the crimes of devious figures like Samuel Zemurray is a necessary first step in this process to reclaim our polities from the machinations of organized Jewry.

Few individuals embody the conflict between American national interest and the demands of world jewry as sharply as Douglas Feith. Throughout his career, Feith has operated as a consummate advocate for the Jewish state, positioning himself within the highest echelons of the U.S. government to ensure that American military and foreign policy served as a potent instrument for his own tribal convictions. From his early days in the pro-Israel lobby to his role in architecting the catastrophic Iraq War, Feith’s career is a study in the subordination of American sovereignty to the priorities of the Jewish people.

General Tommy Franks, who commanded the invasion of Iraq, famously said he had to deal with “the fucking stupidest guy on the face of the earth almost every day” — referring to Feith, as documented in Bob Woodward’s Plan of Attack. Colonel Lawrence Wilkerson, Colin Powell’s chief of staff at the State Department, separately stated: “Seldom in my life have I met a dumber man.” Irrespective of his perceived deficiencies, Feith was able to reach the apex of the national security establishment and fundamentally reshape American foreign policy for the benefit of Israel.

The Zionist convictions Feith brought to the highest levels of American government were not adopted in adulthood but absorbed in childhood.

The Origins of a Zionist Hawk

Douglas Jay Feith was born on July 16, 1953, into a Jewish family in Philadelphia. His background was rooted in Zionist tradition through his father, Dalck Feith, who had been a member of Betar, the Revisionist Zionist youth organization founded by Ze’ev Jabotinsky, active in Poland during the 1930s. Betar was a militaristic movement associated with Jabotinsky’s Revisionist Zionism, a hard-line nationalist strand that rejected the socialist mainstream of the Zionist movement and evolved through the Herut Party into what became the Israeli Likud Party,

Dalck Feith came to the United States in January 1942 and became a businessman, philanthropist, and Republican donor. Douglas Feith grew up in Elkins Park, a Philadelphia suburb, and has acknowledged that his father’s Betar membership and the family’s experience of the Holocaust profoundly shaped his own Zionist convictions.

Feith has publicly described himself as a Zionist — specifically not a Labor or “peace now” Zionist but a right-wing Zionist closely aligned with the Likud tradition. He wrote a 2021 op-ed in the Jewish News Syndicate titled “Why I’m a Zionist,” arguing that support for a Jewish state is entirely compatible with American patriotism. His worldview draws heavily on Ze’ev Jabotinsky’s “iron wall” doctrine, the idea that Arabs will only accept a Jewish state after recognizing they cannot destroy it militarily.

Education and Early Career

This ideological foundation accompanied Feith through an elite educational track and into the upper reaches of the legal profession. Feith graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College in 1975 and magna cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center in 1978, according to his Hudson Institute biography.

He began his public career in 1975 working as an intern on Senator Henry M. “Scoop” Jackson’s Subcommittee on Investigations — the Democratic senator from Washington famous for his hawkish anti-Soviet foreign policy and strong support for Israel. While at Harvard, Feith studied under Professor Richard Pipes, a Polish-born Jewish scholar and anti-Soviet hawk who chaired the CIA’s Team B strategic intelligence exercise in 1976 and later joined Reagan’s National Security Council in February 1981. Feith joined the NSC as a Middle East specialist that same year, working under Pipes.

The Reagan Years

These formative experiences positioned Feith for a direct entry into the national security establishment. Feith joined the government in 1981 as a Middle East specialist on the National Security Council, serving under his former Harvard professor Richard Pipes. The following year, he moved over to the Pentagon to take up duties as Special Counsel to Richard Perle, then Assistant Secretary of Defense. Feith later characterized the role in his own words as covering “UN-related, law of war, and the like” issues that fell to him as the only lawyer in that office. Two years later, in 1984, Defense Secretary Caspar Weinberger elevated Feith to Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Negotiations Policy, where he remained until 1986.

One striking and highly contentious chapter unfolded in 1982, when Feith departed the NSC amid an FBI probe into administration officials suspected of leaking intelligence to Israel. Accusations surfaced that he had mishandled classified materials, though Feith never faced prosecution.

The Private Sector and the Pro-Israel Network

Feith soon traded government service for the lucrative side of the defense and foreign-policy world. When Feith left the Pentagon in 1986, he and Marc Zell co-founded Feith & Zell, P.C., a law firm based initially in Israel that lobbied the U.S. government on behalf of the Turkish, Israeli, and Bosnian governments while representing defense contractors including Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman. In 1989, Feith separately established International Advisors, Inc., a lobbying operation whose clients included Turkey.

In 1999, Feith & Zell merged with the Israel-based Zell, Goldberg & Co. to form the FANDZ International Law Group. When Feith returned to government in 2001 as Undersecretary of Defense overseeing Iraq reconstruction, FANDZ was simultaneously running a task force to help companies secure reconstruction contracts in Iraq.

Throughout the 1990s, Feith built an extensive presence in neoconservative and pro-Israel organizations that would later staff the Bush administration’s national security apparatus. In 1997, the Zionist Organization of America honored both Feith and his father at its annual dinner. Dalck received the ZOA’s special Centennial Award “for his lifetime of service to Israel and the Jewish people,” while Douglas received the prestigious Louis D. Brandeis Award.

Feith served as Vice Chairman of the advisory board of the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs (JINSA), a think tank promoting close military cooperation between the United States and Israel. He also served as Chairman of the Board of the Center for Security Policy, a think tank founded in 1988 by Frank Gaffney that advocates higher military budgets, missile defense systems, space weapons programs, and hard-line Middle East policies.

Feith was also among the founding figures of One Jerusalem, created in 2001 following the Camp David peace talks, with the mission of “maintaining a united Jerusalem as the undivided capital of Israel.” Other founders and principals included former Israeli diplomat Dore Gold and former Deputy Prime Minister Natan Sharansky.

The Clean Break Document

Feith’s organizational work in this period laid the groundwork for direct policy advocacy on behalf of the Israeli government. The most consequential episode in Feith’s pre-government career was his participation in drafting “A Clean Break: A New Strategy for Securing the Realm” in 1996. The paper was produced by a study group led by Richard Perle and organized by the Israel-based Institute for Advanced Strategic and Political Studies for incoming Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. It urged Netanyahu to abandon the Oslo Accords and the land-for-peace framework entirely, called for removing Saddam Hussein from power in Iraq as an “important Israeli strategic objective,” proposed striking Syrian military targets in Lebanon and possibly in Syria proper, and laid out a new Israeli strategic doctrine grounded in “peace through strength” rather than diplomatic concessions.

Three members of that study group later occupied senior positions shaping Bush administration Middle East policy: Perle chaired the Defense Policy Board, Feith became Under Secretary of Defense, and David Wurmser became Dick Cheney’s top Middle East adviser. Professors John Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt, in their 2006 essay “The Israel Lobby” in the London Review of Books, wrote that the Clean Break paper “called for Israel to take steps to reorder the entire Middle East” and that “Feith, Perle and Wurmser were soon urging the Bush administration to pursue those same goals.”

Under Secretary of Defense for Policy

A second and far more consequential bureaucratic creation soon followed. Appointed on July 16, 2001, Feith served as Under Secretary of Defense for Policy — the third-highest civilian position in the Department of Defense. His portfolio included formulating defense planning guidance, managing DoD relations with foreign governments, representing the Pentagon in interagency deliberations, and advising the President and Secretary of Defense on national security matters.

Early in the Bush administration, Feith created the Office of Strategic Influence, established in November 2001 to conduct information operations targeting foreign audiences, including proposals to plant news items — “possibly even false ones” — with foreign media organizations, according to the New York Times. After the program’s existence became public in February 2002 and generated intense scrutiny, Feith decided to close the office, with Rumsfeld announcing the closure at a February 26 press conference. Rumsfeld later acknowledged that its functions continued through other offices, telling reporters in November 2002: “I’m gonna keep doing every single thing that needs to be done and I have.”

The Office of Special Plans

The most damaging controversy of Feith’s tenure centered on his supervision of the Office of Special Plans, a Pentagon unit that operated from September 2002 through June 2003. The OSP was charged with supplying senior administration officials with raw intelligence about Iraq that bypassed the normal vetting process of the intelligence community.

The unit’s driving purpose was to build the political case for invading Iraq by circumventing both the CIA and the Defense Intelligence Agency, which had each concluded that evidence for an operational Iraq-al-Qaeda link was weak or nonexistent. Rather than work through the established intelligence consensus process, the OSP fed its conclusions directly to Vice President Cheney’s office and other senior decision-makers. According to Mother Jones, the OSP’s director, Abram Shulsky, “turned cherry-picked pieces of uncorroborated, anti-Iraq intelligence into talking points” that circulated to Rumsfeld and Cheney. The OSP also worked closely with Ahmed Chalabi and the Iraqi National Congress, whose intelligence the broader community had largely discounted.

In September 2002, two days before the CIA completed its own final assessment of the Iraq-al-Qaeda question, Feith briefed senior advisers to Cheney and National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice, directly attacking the CIA’s credibility and alleging “fundamental problems” with its analysis. The version of the OSP briefing presented to senior White House officials differed from the version shown to the CIA — with a slide citing the CIA’s “fundamental problems” omitted from the version given to the intelligence community, according to the Washington Post’s reporting on the Inspector General’s summary.

In February 2007, the Pentagon’s Inspector General released a landmark report concluding that Feith’s office had “developed, produced, and then disseminated alternative intelligence assessments on the Iraq and al Qaida relationship, which included some conclusions that were inconsistent with the consensus of the Intelligence Community, to senior decision-makers.” The report found these actions “inappropriate” though not “illegal.” restart

Sen. Carl Levin (D-MI), Chair of the Senate Armed Services Committee, did not accept the limitations of that framing. “The bottom line is that intelligence relating to the Iraq-al-Qaeda relationship was manipulated by high-ranking officials in the Department of Defense to support the administration’s decision to invade Iraq,” Levin stated. “The inspector general’s report is a devastating condemnation of inappropriate activities in the DOD policy office that helped take this nation to war.”

Feith seized on the “not illegal” finding to declare he felt “vindicated” by the report, calling it proof that his office had been “smeared for years.” He disputed the Inspector General’s “inappropriate” finding as “bizarre” and “quibbling,” arguing that his office had simply produced “a criticism of the consensus of the intelligence community.”

De-Ba’athification and Its Catastrophic Consequences

The intelligence controversy was only one front of the wreckage Feith’s office produced. Among the most consequential decisions associated with Feith’s tenure were two orders that remade Iraq’s governing and security structures. The Pentagon, under Feith’s direction, drafted the de-Baathification decree that became CPA Order 1, signed by Ambassador Paul Bremer on May 16, 2003, which stripped all senior Ba’ath Party members from government positions.

A separate instrument, CPA Order 2, signed one week later, dissolved Iraq’s military and security forces — affecting 385,000 soldiers, 285,000 police, and 50,000 presidential security personnel. Together, the two orders threw hundreds of thousands of Iraqis out of work and destroyed the administrative and security infrastructure of the Iraqi state. They are now widely considered among the worst strategic decisions of the occupation, having helped ignite the sectarian insurgency that followed.

The Lawrence Franklin Espionage Scandal

The damage caused by Feith’s policy decisions was matched by serious security breaches involving his subordinates. Lawrence Franklin, a veteran Defense Intelligence Agency analyst who worked in Feith’s Near East and South Asia Bureau, was arrested in 2005 and pleaded guilty to espionage-related charges for passing classified information to AIPAC officials Steven Rosen and Keith Weissman, who then relayed the information to Israeli officials and the media. Franklin was sentenced to nearly 13 years in prison, later reduced to ten months’ house arrest. All charges against Rosen and Weissman were dropped in 2009. Although Feith himself was not charged, the scandal reinforced longstanding concerns about the security culture within his office and its relationship to Israeli intelligence interests.

After the Pentagon

After leaving the Pentagon in August 2005, Feith held the position of professor and Distinguished Practitioner in National Security Policy at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service from 2006 to 2008. The appointment drew sharp opposition from the faculty — a letter signed by 35 professors accused Feith of ethical conflicts and of having defended the use of torture — and his contract was not renewed. He subsequently served as a Distinguished Visiting Fellow at Stanford’s Hoover Institution before joining the Hudson Institute in September 2008 as a Senior Fellow and Director of the Center for National Security Strategies.

In 2009, Feith became one of several Bush administration officials considered for a war crimes investigation by a Spanish court under claims of universal jurisdiction, headed by Judge Baltasar Garzón.

Ultimately, the Iraq War must not be viewed merely as a tactical or strategic failure of the American state, but as a profound success for the interests of organized Jewry, which Feith serves with unwavering fidelity. By viewing Feith as an agent of the Jewish state rather than a servant of the American public, the true objective of his career becomes clear: the advancement of his own people is his paramount duty, with the welfare of the United States trailing as a distant afterthought.

The Jeffrey Epstein files continue to spill their secrets. With each new document release, each newly unsealed court record, the spotlight inches closer to a network of Jewish billionaires who operated in the shadows long before the convicted sex trafficker became a household name. The names in Epstein’s black book read like a roster of Jewish power. But behind those individual names lies something even more intriguing, a structure, an architecture of influence that Epstein exploited with devastating effectiveness.

At the center of that architecture stands a mysterious organization that most Americans have never heard of. It was founded in 1991 by two men, one of whom would become Epstein’s most consequential patron, granting him sweeping power of attorney over his billion-dollar fortune. The other was a Canadian-American billionaire whose family name once adorned the world’s largest liquor company and whose philanthropic fingerprints can be found on nearly every major Jewish institution in North America.

His name is Charles Bronfman.

The Bronfman Empire

Charles Rosner Bronfman was born on June 27, 1931, into a Jewish family in Montreal, the youngest of four children born to Samuel Bronfman, the founder of Distillers Corporation Limited and later the Seagram Company. The Bronfman family’s origins trace to Bessarabia in the Russian Empire, from which they fled from ethnic tensions in 1889 to settle in the Canadian prairies.

Samuel Bronfman, known simply as “Mr. Sam,” built the Seagram empire partly through the shrewd exploitation of American Prohibition-era demand for Canadian whiskey. A 1927 Canadian inquiry found the family had gone years without paying income taxes. A brother-in-law was murdered at a family liquor warehouse in 1922. In 1934, Samuel and his brothers were charged with evading duties on over $5 million, though the case collapsed when investigators could not obtain the family’s account books. From these controversial origins, the family built what would become the world’s largest distilling firm.

Charles grew up as the self-described quiet one. In his 2017 memoir Distilled: A Memoir of Family, Seagram, Baseball, and Philanthropy, he described himself as less dominated by ego than his brother Edgar. He was educated at elite anglophone institutions before attending McGill University. His family kept a kosher home and provided the children with Jewish religious schooling. He began his philanthropic activity at the age of 17.

In 1951, his father gave him a 33% ownership stake in Cemp Investments, a holding company for him and his three siblings that controlled the family’s corporate empire. After Samuel Bronfman’s death in 1971, Charles and Edgar inherited and co-chaired the Seagram Company Ltd., which at its peak was one of the largest spirits companies in the world.

The family’s fortunes were severely damaged in the late 1990s when Edgar Bronfman Jr., Charles’s nephew, led a disastrous pivot into entertainment, culminating in the 2000 sale of Seagram to the French media conglomerate Vivendi. Charles had strongly opposed this move, calling it “a disaster, it is a disaster, it will be a disaster” and “a family tragedy.” The family’s paper losses on the deal exceeded $3 billion as Vivendi’s stock plummeted.

The Founding of the Mega Group

In 1991, Charles Bronfman and Leslie Wexner, founder of The Limited and Victoria’s Secret, co-founded what they called the “Study Group.” The innocuous name concealed something far more significant. This was an invitation-only club of approximately 20 of the wealthiest and most influential Jewish businesspeople in America, a number that would eventually swell to nearly 50 by 2001.

The group became publicly known as the Mega Group after a Wall Street Journal investigative report in May 1998, headlined “Titans of Industry Join Forces To Work for Jewish Philanthropy,” pulled back the curtain on its existence. Annual dues reportedly ran approximately $30,000. Members met twice a year for two-day seminars on philanthropy and Jewish identity. But the guest list alone suggested this was no ordinary study circle.

Members included Les Wexner, Charles Bronfman, Edgar Bronfman Sr., Max Fisher, Michael Steinhardt, Leonard Abramson, Harvey Meyerhoff, Laurence Tisch, Charles Schusterman, Lester Crown, Ronald Lauder, Marvin Lender, and Hollywood director Steven Spielberg. These were men who controlled billions in personal wealth and sat on the boards of the most powerful Jewish organizations in America.

Bronfman’s 1998 Wall Street Journal comment, “From the beginning, we didn’t want to be seen as a threat to anybody… We don’t want to be seen as the Sanhedrin,” functioned as a classic tactical admission. By explicitly citing the ancient Jewish governing body as the image he sought to avoid, he inadvertently confirmed that such a structure of Jewish influence was indeed the functional reality he managed.

Yet critics and investigative journalists described the Mega Group as something far more consequential than a philanthropic book club. It was an informal political machine, a network through which billions in charitable funds could be directed to shape U.S. policy on Israel. Executive Intelligence Review and other outlets reported that the group had contacts with Israeli intelligence and served as a base for influence operations in the United States.

The Wexner Affair

The connection between the Mega Group and Jeffrey Epstein runs directly through Leslie Wexner, Charles Bronfman’s partner in founding the organization. Wexner was Epstein’s most consequential patron. He granted Epstein power of attorney over his personal finances in July 1991, giving Epstein, in Wexner’s own words, “wide latitude to act on my behalf” — effectively making Epstein his personal money manager for years. Epstein exploited Wexner’s network to establish relationships with influential political, business, and philanthropic figures across the globe.

Epstein also used his status as a purported model scout for Wexner’s Victoria’s Secret brand to lure young women into his sex trafficking enterprise. Because Bronfman co-founded the Mega Group with Wexner, and owing to how the group’s membership overlapped extensively with Epstein’s social and financial network, Bronfman’s name appears regularly in analyses of the Epstein web. The connection has raised uncomfortable questions about what the members of this secretive group knew, when they knew it, and what they chose not to see.

A more direct Bronfman family connection runs through Edgar Bronfman Jr., Charles’s nephew, whose name and contact details appear in Epstein’s notorious “little black book,” the private directory of contacts that became public through court disclosures. Edgar Bronfman Sr., Charles’s older brother, is identified in some accounts as one of Epstein’s clients during his years at Bear Stearns in the late 1970s and early 1980s, when Epstein advised wealthy clients on tax mitigation strategies.

Epstein victim Maria Farmer has publicly connected Epstein’s network to the Mega Group and to Leslie Wexner specifically. In a phone interview with journalist Whitney Webb, Farmer described the group as connected through Wexner, whom she called “the head of the snake.”

Perhaps most striking is an observation made by Jeffrey Solomon, the longtime president of the Andrea and Charles Bronfman Philanthropies. In a 2019 interview with Inside Philanthropy, Solomon noted that “successful people don’t want to be the ones who have to deal with uncomfortable situations” and drew an explicit parallel between his own role at ACBP and Epstein’s role with Wexner — both served as the person who absorbs uncomfortable decisions so the principal does not have to. “It was very much part of our job to say no so that they don’t have to,” Solomon told Inside Philanthropy.

The Philanthropic Empire

Charles Bronfman extended his influence far beyond business into the institutional architecture of global Jewry. In December 1986, he founded the CRB Foundation, whose twin founding principles were “to enhance Canadianism” and to promote “unity of the Jewish people whose soul is in Jerusalem.” The CRB Foundation was the cornerstone of what became the Andrea and Charles Bronfman Philanthropies. Over its 30-year life, ACBP distributed more than $340 million to approximately 1,820 grantees.

The signature achievement of Bronfman’s philanthropic career is Taglit-Birthright Israel, which he co-founded in 1999 alongside Michael Steinhardt, another Mega Group member, in partnership with the Israeli government. The program offers free 10-day educational trips to Israel for young Jewish adults, explicitly designed to strengthen their Jewish identity and connection to the Jewish state. Since its founding, it has sent more than 900,000 young Jews to Israel, making it the world’s largest educational tourism organization.

From 1999 to 2001, Bronfman served as the first chairman of the United Jewish Communities, the merged organization comprising the United Jewish Appeal, the Council of Jewish Federations, and United Israel Appeal. According to Executive Intelligence Review, when his term expired, he was succeeded by a son of Laurence Tisch, another Mega Group charter member.

The philanthropic initiatives born from the Mega Group are substantial. The Partnership for Excellence in Jewish Education, Birthright Israel, and the renewal of Hillel International all emerged from the group’s deliberations. In 2003, the Mega Group hired Republican political consultant Frank Luntz to help members mobilize public support for Israel.

In early 2001, Mega Group members Leonard Abramson, Edgar Bronfman Sr., and Michael Steinhardt launched “Emet,” Hebrew for “truth,” described by its founders as a pro-Israel think tank aimed at improving Israeli public relations in North America. The $7 million initiative — with an additional $1 million pledged from Israel’s Foreign Ministry — drew scrutiny both from Israeli diplomats who felt American Jews were encroaching on their turf and from commentators who questioned whether it would promote a hard-line approach to the peace process.

The Scandals

Bronfman’s career has not been without direct controversy. The most serious and well-documented centers on illegal campaign financing in Israel. In the 1999 Israeli election, Bronfman, along with Jonathan Kolber, the CEO of Koor Industries, allegedly channeled funds through an Israeli non-profit organization called ROVAD to support the campaign of Labor candidate Ehud Barak. A special investigation by Israel’s Registrar of Non-Profit Organizations found that ROVAD was used as a financial pipeline for Barak’s election campaign rather than fulfilling its stated social purpose.

In September 2001, Israeli police opened a formal investigation against Bronfman and Kolber under the Party Financing Law and Non-Profit Organizations Law. Barak’s One Israel party was ultimately fined more than $3 million after the revelation that large amounts of foreign money had been funneled through nonprofits.

This was not an isolated incident. ABC News reported that as early as the 1988 Israeli election, Bronfman had given $1.6 million to Shimon Peres’s campaign, donations that were legal at the time but contributed to the policy environment that eventually led Israel to reform its campaign finance laws to ban foreign contributions to Israeli parties.

Bronfman’s chairmanship of Koor Industries, one of Israel’s largest investment holding companies, ended in significant financial loss. His approximately $500 million investment lost around 70% of its value as the company’s aggressive tech pivot was devastated by the global tech bust. In 1989, Bronfman also joined British press magnate Robert Maxwell in a joint bid to buy a controlling stake in The Jerusalem Post from Koor, which was selling its shares. Maxwell, who would later be widely reported as having ties to Israeli intelligence, described the venture with Bronfman as aimed at “developing The Jerusalem Post and expanding its influence among world Jewry.”

In 2017, the Paradise Papers implicated Stephen Bronfman, Charles’s son and chief Liberal Party fundraiser for Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Documents showed that Stephen’s investment firm Claridge had close business ties to a Cayman Islands trust linked to the Kolber family, raising questions about unpaid taxes. Stephen Bronfman denied any impropriety, stating he and his family “have always conducted themselves in accordance with the highest legal and ethical standards.”

The extended Bronfman family faced its own scandal when Charles’s nieces Clare and Sara Bronfman, daughters of his brother Edgar Sr., became deeply enmeshed in NXIVM. Founded in 1998 by Keith Raniere and Nancy Salzman, NXIVM operated as an ostensible self-improvement organization that prosecutors proved was in reality a criminal enterprise involving sex trafficking, racketeering, and a secret society in which women were branded with Raniere’s initials. Clare spent more than $100 million funding the organization and was sentenced to six years and nine months in federal prison in September 2020 for conspiracy to conceal illegal immigrants and fraudulent use of identification.

The Last Known Meeting

The Mega Group held what is believed to be its last documented meeting on May 3 and 4, 2001, at Edgar Bronfman’s Manhattan mansion. The group operated entirely behind closed doors and received minimal mainstream press attention until its connection to Wexner, and through Wexner to Jeffrey Epstein, brought renewed scrutiny beginning in 2019.

Investigative journalist Whitney Webb and others have reported that Epstein’s connections to suspected Mossad asset Robert Maxwell, former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, and the Mega Group network have raised persistent questions about whether Epstein was working for Israeli intelligence. These questions remain unanswered, and the full truth may never be known.

What is known is that Charles Bronfman, now in his 90s with an estimated net worth of $2.5 billion, remains one of the most consequential figures in the institutional architecture of global Jewry.

Within the clandestine world of American intelligence throughout the Cold War, no figure embodied the moral contradictions of the era more completely than Sidney Gottlieb. Known within the CIA as the “Black Sorcerer” and later dubbed the “Poisoner in Chief” by journalist Stephen Kinzer — whose 2019 book of that title is the definitive account of his career — Sidney Gottlieb was a biochemist who spent two decades running the agency’s most disturbing programs while searching for ways to control the human mind.

He was a man of paradoxes. He stuttered his entire life. He practiced folk dancing and raised goats on a Virginia farm. He later volunteered at a leprosy hospital in India. Yet as Kinzer documented in his NPR interview, Gottlieb’s experiments on “expendable” human subjects destroyed countless lives — conducted with virtually no oversight and what amounted to a license to kill.

Early Life and Background

Gottlieb was born in the Bronx on August 3, 1918, to Orthodox Jewish immigrant parents from Hungary — his actual birth name was Sidney Gottlieb, not the pseudonym “Joseph Scheider” he later used when testifying before the Church Committee. He stuttered severely from childhood and was born with a club foot, both of which shaped his driven, intensely self-reliant personality. Despite these challenges, he excelled academically, earning a doctorate in biochemistry from the California Institute of Technology in 1943.

In his university years at Wisconsin, he joined the Young People’s Socialist League, reflecting early left-wing political sympathies. He was rejected from military service in World War II due to his club foot and instead sought ways to serve the government through scientific work.

Career at the CIA

Gottlieb joined the CIA on July 13, 1951, hired by then-Deputy Director for Operations Allen Dulles on the recommendation of Ira Baldwin, who had founded and run the biowarfare program at Fort Detrick. He quickly rose to head the Chemical Division of the Technical Services Staff, becoming the agency’s top drug expert and clandestine scientist.

According to the National Security Archive, the Technical Services Staff under Gottlieb’s leadership built worldwide technical capabilities critical to virtually all significant U.S. clandestine operations over two decades. He was also the CIA’s chief supplier of spy gadgets and tools, running a vast technical division.

MKUltra The Mind Control Program

Gottlieb is most notoriously associated with Project MKUltra, formally approved on April 13, 1953, co-authored in memorandum with Richard Helms and greenlighted by Allen Dulles. The program sought to develop mind control techniques through drugs, hypnosis, electroshock, sensory deprivation, and torture, motivated by Cold War fears that the Soviets and Chinese had already mastered brainwashing.

As MKUltra’s director, Gottlieb was reportedly granted six percent of the CIA’s entire operating budget with no oversight or accounting. The initial MKULTRA budget authorization “exempted the program from the normal CIA financial controls” and allowed research projects to begin “without the signing of the usual contracts or other written agreements.” Confirmed by Senate records, the program encompassed 149 subprojects across more than 80 institutions — including 44 colleges and universities, 15 research foundations and pharmaceutical companies, 12 hospitals or clinics, and 3 penal institutions. Gottlieb developed clandestine relationships with these entities using CIA front organizations to obscure the agency’s involvement.

Per the National Security Archive, methods included covert LSD administration to unwitting subjects — CIA employees, military personnel, prisoners, hospital patients, and members of the public — in what Gottlieb called experiments on “expendables.”

Gottlieb established Operation Midnight Climax, setting up CIA-funded safehouses in New York and San Francisco where, as Kinzer recounts, prostitutes lured men who were then secretly dosed with LSD while federal agents filmed their reactions from behind one-way mirrors. He directed brutal experiments at secret detention centers in Japan, Germany, and the Philippines.

When Gottlieb testified before the Church Committee in October 1975 — appearing under the pseudonym “Joseph Scheider” — he acknowledged that the CIA had conducted experiments on subjects who were dosed without their knowledge, and conceded the program had produced “as many failures as successes.”

Gottlieb inadvertently helped popularize LSD in America. As Kinzer told NPR, among those who first encountered the drug through CIA-sponsored experiments were author Ken Kesey — who took LSD at the Menlo Park Veterans’ Hospital and later wrote One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest — and poet Allen Ginsberg, who participated in experiments at Stanford. Kinzer called Gottlieb the “unwitting godfather of the entire LSD counterculture.”

Assassination Plots

Beyond mind control, Gottlieb served as the CIA’s chief “poisoner,” designing lethal and debilitating weapons for use against foreign leaders. As the National Security Archive’s publication of Gottlieb’s newly declassified Church Committee testimony confirms, investigators questioned him extensively about a CIA Inspector General report covering plots against Fidel Castro. These schemes ranged from spraying Castro’s broadcast booth with airborne LSD to contaminating his footwear with thallium salts intended to cause beard loss, along with a toxic cigar, a fungus-infected diving suit, an explosive seashell rigged to blow up during his underwater activities, and a lethal writing instrument. Kinzer’s account in his NPR interview describes these as part of a years-long stream of plots that Gottlieb orchestrated or supplied.

For Congolese Prime Minister Patrice Lumumba, Gottlieb personally transported toxic biological materials to the CIA station in the Congo in 1960, intending them to be placed on Lumumba’s toothbrush. CIA station chief Larry Devlin reportedly declined the assignment. Lumumba was later overthrown and killed in a military coup.

When the Church Committee asked Gottlieb whether he had discussed “various technical means of killing a foreign leader,” Gottlieb replied simply, “Yes.”

The Frank Olson Affair

One of the most chilling episodes linked to Gottlieb was the death of Frank Olson, an Army bacteriologist and biological warfare specialist. At a CIA retreat at Deep Creek Lake in rural Maryland on November 19, 1953, Gottlieb secretly dosed Olson’s after-dinner Cointreau with LSD without his knowledge. Nine days later, Olson plunged to his death from a window of the Hotel Statler in New York City.

The government initially ruled it a suicide and later termed it a “misadventure.” Olson’s family has long maintained he was murdered to prevent him from exposing CIA secrets. President Gerald Ford personally apologized to the family, and the family accepted a $750,000 settlement. Dick Cheney, then serving as Ford’s deputy chief of staff, wrote a memo to Donald Rumsfeld warning that any lawsuit “might be necessary to disclose high-level classified national security information.” The story was later dramatized in Errol Morris’s Netflix documentary series Wormwood.

Destruction of Records

As Gottlieb prepared to retire in 1973, he and CIA Director Richard Helms oversaw the destruction of the bulk of the MKUltra files. In his congressional testimony, Helms justified the destruction by saying there “had been relationships with outsiders in government agencies and other organizations and that they would be sensitive in this kind of a thing,” adding that he wanted to ensure that “anybody who assisted us in the past would not be subject to follow up, or questions, embarrassment, if you will.”

As the National Security Archive documents, the shredding meant that much of what Gottlieb actually did remains permanently unknown. Some files survived only because they had been misfiled in a financial records building and were discovered following a FOIA request in 1977, becoming the foundation of the subsequent congressional investigations.

The Church Committee and Congressional Reckoning

MKUltra was first publicly exposed when Seymour Hersh published a front-page investigation in The New York Times on December 22, 1974, triggering the Senate investigations that brought the program fully into the open through the Church Committee in 1975. Gottlieb testified under his CIA alias “Joseph Scheider” offering terse and carefully limited answers to senators’ questions.

He admitted to participating in interrogations where drugs were administered, acknowledged planning assassination methods with CIA operations chief Richard Bissell, and described LSD’s effects in vague terms. As the National Security Archive detailed, Gottlieb’s memory was “suspiciously fuzzy for a man who had only been retired from the CIA for a couple of years.” His attorney had negotiated immunity in exchange for his testimony. Gottlieb was never criminally charged for any of his activities.

Have His Methods Continued to Be Used by the CIA?

There is substantial evidence that Gottlieb’s techniques evolved into documented interrogation frameworks used by the CIA for decades after MKUltra was formally shut down. MKUltra techniques were codified into the KUBARK Counterintelligence Interrogation Manual in 1963, a 128-page CIA document whose coercive interrogation chapters cover “deprivation of sensory stimuli, threats and fear, pain, hypnosis and narcosis,” drawing directly on research conducted under MKUltra. The CIA’s Human Resource Exploitation Training Manual of 1983 was an updated version of KUBARK, used to train military forces in Latin American countries, including Honduras, where it was linked to the Battalion 3-16 death squad that kidnapped, tortured, and murdered prisoners.

After September 11, 2001, the CIA hired psychologist contractors James Mitchell and Bruce Jessen, paid $81 million, to develop an interrogation regime euphemistically called “enhanced interrogation techniques.” These included waterboarding, sleep deprivation, confinement in coffin-like boxes, shackling, and exposure to extreme temperatures — techniques with direct lineage to MKUltra research. As Kinzer wrote, cited in the National Security Archive, the CIA’s behavior control research programs “contributed decisively to the development of techniques that Americans and their allies used at detention centers in Vietnam, Latin America, Afghanistan, Iraq, Guantanamo Bay, and secret prisons around the world.”

The Declassified JFK Files

Newly unredacted documents from the JFK assassination files, released by the Trump administration in March 2025, reveal Church Committee testimony from James Angleton, the CIA’s chief of counterintelligence, in which Gottlieb’s name surfaced in the context of allegations about nuclear knowledge transfers to Israel. The testimony, given in a top-secret executive session on June 19, 1975, had previously been heavily redacted.

According to the newly unredacted transcript, as annotated by Auribus Arrectis and reported by The American Conservative, journalist Tad Szulc had made cryptic references to “Sidney X” during a private meeting with Angleton. When Angleton explained to the committee who “Sidney X” was, he identified Gottlieb in two ways: first by name and role — “Now, that man’s name is Sidney Gottlieb. And he was the head of our technical services department, which means that there is a cross plant in our business. And the man who was bugging and performing all the hundreds of technical services, has access, unfortunately, to many of our operations” — and then by relaying what Szulc had said: “And Sidney X. And Sidney X is Sidney Gottlieb, who was one of our technical employees who retired, and is now in Australia... And he was bicycling in India.”

Both Szulc and Hersh had independently received intelligence suggesting Angleton had been “instrumental in acquiring plutonium for the Israelis.” Angleton relayed this to the committee in his own words, describing how the two journalists had compared notes and “discovered that each had had separate sources that I had been instrumental in acquiring plutonium for the Israelis, and as a follow-up, to help the Israelis on their know-how by sending Dr. Mann to Israel clandestinely.”

His formal denials to the committee were categorical on their face. When committee counsel Frederick Schwarz asked directly whether the CIA had “directly or indirectly transferred any atomic technology or know-how to Israel,” Angleton answered: “From my knowledge, the answer is an absolute no.” When Sen. Howard Baker (R-TN) pressed him further — asking whether “every material aspect of that statement was wrong” — Angleton again said “Yes.”

Those denials, however, exist alongside significant contradictory evidence in the same record. Szulc’s own sworn testimony to the committee, given just days earlier on June 10, directly contradicts Angleton — Szulc stated that when he had approached Angleton privately, Angleton had essentially confirmed the substance of the story, correcting only the timeframe and denying solely the plutonium component.

And as The Grayzone reported, a 1975 Angleton memo to the FBI separately disclosed that he had “avoided any direct answers” during his Senate testimony on Israel’s nuclear intelligence collection. When Schwarz pressed him about whether CIA counterintelligence had “certain knowledge” of Israeli agents attempting to acquire nuclear secrets in the United States, Angleton’s response was: “Do I have to respond to that?” — before the committee went off the record.

Later Life and Legacy

After retiring from the CIA in 1973, Gottlieb underwent a remarkable personal transformation. He and his wife spent 18 months running a leper hospital in India, then settled on a farm in rural Virginia where he raised goats. A stutterer since childhood, he earned a master’s degree in speech therapy from San Jose State University and spent 11 years working as a speech-language pathologist in middle schools and high schools in California. He spent his final years in Washington, Virginia, doing hospice work tending to the dying.

He died on March 7, 1999, at his home in Washington, Virginia, never having been convicted of any crime. His wife declined to disclose the cause of death. Lawsuits from MKUltra victims and their families continued to haunt him until the end.

Sidney Gottlieb was a quintessential product of the post-war era, leveraging the vast, unaccountable powers of the CIA to brutalize the innocent while remaining shielded by the very systems he helped build. Despite his facade of humble repentance, Gottlieb’s career exemplifies how his kinfolk seized the levers of American power to secure a world tailored to the interests of organized Jewry.

Leonid Radvinsky, the reclusive Jewish billionaire who transformed OnlyFans from a modest subscription platform into a multi-billion dollar pornography empire, died on March 20, 2026, following an alleged battle with cancer. He was 43 years old.

“We are deeply saddened to announce the death of Leo Radvinsky. Leo passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer,” OnlyFans stated on Monday. “His family have requested privacy at this difficult time.”

Radvinsky’s death caps a career marked by extraordinary wealth accumulation alongside persistent allegations of enabling sexual exploitation, child abuse material, sex trafficking, and suspicious financial activity. Radvinsky amassed an estimated net worth of $7.8 billion as of October 2025, per Forbes’ Real-Time Billionaire rankings, while largely avoiding public scrutiny through extreme reclusiveness. At the time of his death on March 20, 2026, Forbes estimated his net worth at $4.7 billion.

Leonid “Leo” Radvinsky was born in 1982 to a Jewish family in the port city of Odesa, Ukraine, then part of the Soviet Union. His family emigrated to the United States when he was a child and settled in the Chicago area. The source of his father Savely’s wealth remains unclear, with reports noting real estate investments and business dealings whose exact nature has never been fully explained.

Radvinsky graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in economics in 2002. He married Yekaterina “Katie” Chudnovsky and lived in Florida. He also owned property in Chicago and other assets. Radvinsky was famously secretive. He gave almost no public interviews, few photographs of him ever surfaced, and he seldom appeared publicly.

Radvinsky’s entrepreneurial career began at age 17 in 1999 when he helped incorporate Cybertania Inc., a website referral business registered in Illinois with his mother Anna serving as the registered agent. During the late 1990s and early 2000s, he built more than 10 websites including “Password Universe,” “Working Passes,” and “Ultra Passwords” that claimed to offer “illegal” and “hacked” passwords to pornography sites. He earned affiliate revenue for every click.

Forbes found that “Password Universe” published a link claiming to offer “illegal pre-teen passwords” and “Working Passes” linked to purported “illegal teen passwords” and bestiality content. Forensic News also found that Radvinsky held hundreds of domain names. Ultra Passwords alone reportedly generated $1.8 million per year in revenue.

Radvinsky encountered legal troubles in 2004, when Microsoft sued him for allegedly sending millions of deceptive emails to Hotmail users. The case was eventually dismissed. Additional lawsuits filed by Microsoft and Amazon in 2003 and 2004 alleged spamming and impersonation of their companies to redirect traffic to pornography ventures and “free money from the government” offers. All cases were settled out of court in 2005, and Radvinsky and his businesses were barred from using Amazon’s name in spam or any of Microsoft’s email tools.

In 2004, Radvinsky founded MyFreeCams, a live adult streaming and webcam site through his holding company MFCXY, Inc. The platform became enormously successful, processing hundreds of millions of dollars in payments annually. To users and the thousands of performers, he was known simply as “AdminLeo.”

In 2018, Radvinsky purchased a majority stake in OnlyFans’ parent company Fenix International Ltd. from British founders Tim and Guy Stokely, reportedly for approximately $30 million. He later acquired full ownership. Under his direction, OnlyFans pivoted heavily toward adult content and experienced explosive growth, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The platform generated $6.6 billion in gross payments as of its fiscal year ending November 2023, with over 305 million registered users and 4.1 million creators, according to its annual report filed with UK Companies House. Radvinsky received $472 million in dividends in 2023 alone. CBS News reported, citing Bloomberg, that the company paid him approximately $1.8 billion in dividends since 2021. As of mid-2025, Radvinsky was reportedly in talks to sell OnlyFans at a valuation of approximately $8 billion.

Even as he built one of the most profitable pornography platforms on the internet, Radvinsky quietly directed significant sums toward charitable work. On his personal website, Radvinsky listed donations to organizations including the University of Chicago Medicine. He donated $5 million to Ukraine relief in 2022 following Russia’s invasion. In 2024, Radvinsky and his wife were major public supporters of a $23 million grant program for cancer research, announced at a gastrointestinal research foundation gala.

His interests beyond OnlyFans extended into the technology sector as well. Radvinsky operated a venture capital fund called “Leo” founded in 2009 that invested mainly in tech companies. Notable investments included B4X, an Israel-based open-source software development tools company. But it was not his tech investments that drew the sharpest public scrutiny. In February 2024, investigative outlet The Lever published a story based on leaked internal AIPAC donor documents showing that Radvinsky and his wife Katie Chudnovsky had pledged $11 million to AIPAC, the largest single contribution on the leaked list.

The $11 million pledge appeared under the name “Mr. Anonymous Anonymous” and Katie Chudnovsky, but personal contact information and a short bio in the documents identified “Mr. Anonymous” as Radvinsky, according to both The Lever and Jacobin. The pledge came in the wake of Hamas’s October 7, 2023, attack on Israel, during a period when AIPAC raised approximately $90 million in total. Internal AIPAC documents reviewed by The Lever showed a wire transfer from Chudnovsky to AIPAC.

Radvinsky denied the contribution. “I didn’t donate or pledge $11M,” he wrote in an email to The Lever, adding “this appl[ies] to me / my foundation / my family.” When asked why AIPAC listed him as a donor, he replied, “I don’t know.” When pressed about the wire transfer documentation, he stopped responding.

AIPAC declined to confirm or deny the list’s accuracy. When The Lever asked AIPAC’s spokesperson to identify any inaccurate information, the organization did not respond despite three follow-up requests before publication. Because AIPAC is organized as a 501(c)(4) “social welfare” organization, it is not legally required to publicly disclose its donors.

Following these revelations, multiple OnlyFans creators called for a boycott of the platform. Sex workers expressed concern that their earnings were being funneled to AIPAC, which had launched a $100 million campaign to oppose pro-Palestinian candidates in the 2024 elections. Organizers drew parallels between their own struggles against exploitation and the Palestinian cause.

The AIPAC controversy was not the first time questions had been raised about where Radvinsky’s money flowed. Long before the donor leak, banks themselves had flagged his financial operations. For at least 13 years, multiple banks filed Suspicious Activity Reports on Radvinsky’s companies, totaling well over $1 billion in flagged transactions, according to Forensic News. Reports from Bank of America, JP Morgan Chase, Wells Fargo, and others repeatedly identified patterns “consistent with payment layering,” a money laundering technique, involving offshore payment processors in Curacao, Belize, and Germany. Romania’s anti-money laundering agency requested MyFreeCams banking records from the U.S. Treasury in 2012.

The financial red flags were not the only source of controversy. The platforms Radvinsky built also faced mounting allegations of facilitating harm to the very people who generated their revenue. A major Reuters investigation in 2024 uncovered extensive allegations of nonconsensual content on OnlyFans, identifying 128 cases in which people complained to U.S. law enforcement that sexual content featuring them had been posted without their consent between January 2019 and November 2023. In approximately 40% of these cases, the content also appeared on mainstream social media platforms to drive traffic to OnlyFans. The National Center on Sexual Exploitation labeled OnlyFans a “serial sexual exploiter” and called on the DOJ to investigate.

Dozens of former models on both MyFreeCams and OnlyFans alleged arbitrary account closures and withheld wages. Forensic News documented multiple cases where creators had accounts deleted with pending balances and received generic responses about “suspicious/fraudulent activity” with no specifics. Some models lost wages when Choice Bank in Belize, used by MyFreeCams for payments, collapsed in 2018.

In 2022, competitor FanCentro and other plaintiffs filed lawsuits alleging that OnlyFans and Radvinsky paid bribes to Meta employees to have competing adult content performers placed on the Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism (GIFCT) database, effectively destroying their businesses. The payments were allegedly routed from Fenix International through a secret Hong Kong subsidiary into offshore Philippines bank accounts. Both Meta and OnlyFans denied the allegations, though a federal judge refused to dismiss the case.

The allegations of anticompetitive sabotage were serious enough on their own. But the most disturbing questions surrounding Radvinsky’s platforms involved not rival businesses but vulnerable people, including children. MyFreeCams maintained an advertising deal with Chat Avenue, one of the internet’s oldest chat platforms, where the age requirement was just 13 and loosely policed. MyFreeCams ads promoting adult webcam content appeared in the “boys,” “girls,” and “teens” chat rooms for approximately a decade. Federal court documents show multiple predators were arrested for child sex crimes committed on Chat Avenue during this period.

A BBC investigation in 2021 found that minors had used fake identification to set up accounts and sell explicit videos on OnlyFans. In one case, a 14-year-old used her grandmother’s passport. The UK’s most senior police officer for child protection called children on the platform “exploited.” A U.S. Homeland Security Investigations special agent confirmed he had seen child sex abuse material (CSAM) originating from OnlyFans during a 2021 call with Mastercard executives, noting the paywall makes it exceptionally difficult for law enforcement to discover offending accounts.

A Reuters investigation in January 2025 revealed a whistleblower complaint submitted to the U.S. Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network alleging that Mastercard and Visa were aware since at least 2021 that their payment networks were being used to process proceeds from CSAM and trafficking on OnlyFans, accusing them of “turning a blind eye to flows of illicit revenue.” The complaint was filed in January 2023 with FinCEN and the U.S. Justice and Homeland Security departments.

Reuters also reported on women who said they had been sexually enslaved, sometimes by a partner, to produce content for the platform. The platform became central to high-profile trafficking cases, most notably involving influencer Andrew Tate, who was charged in Romania with rape and sex-trafficking charges connected to an operation that allegedly forced women to create pornographic content on OnlyFans.

A 2022 study by the Anti-Human Trafficking Intelligence Initiative (ATII) and the University of New Haven found a “high volume” of OnlyFans accounts with “common indicators” of CSAM or sex trafficking using open-source research methods. The NCOSE called on the Department of Justice to investigate OnlyFans, noting the platform profits from “the sexual abuse and exploitation of women, children, and men.”

Radvinsky’s path mirrors that of many Jewish magnates whose fortunes are built upon the erosion of social mores. His wealth, harvested from cultural collapse, is then re-directed to strengthen the political and strategic footholds of his tribe in the Middle East. Taken together, these forces amount to a zero‑sum game in which the spiritual and cultural bankruptcy of one people finances the geopolitical leverage of another.

In the annals of political opportunism, few transformations have been as swift or as lucrative as that of Shabbos Kestenbaum. The 27-year-old Harvard graduate has journeyed from voting for Bernie Sanders and attending the 2016 Democratic National Convention to endorsing Donald Trump, speaking at the Republican National Convention, and becoming a PragerU personality who defends American military strikes on Iran. Along the way, he has denounced the very progressive movement that once claimed him as its own while embracing a hawkish Zionist agenda that places Israel at the center of American foreign policy.

Before October 7, 2023, Kestenbaum was an unapologetic progressive Democrat. He voted for Bernie Sanders in the 2016 presidential primary and attended the Democratic National Convention that year as a Sanders supporter. He voted for Rep. Jamaal Bowman, a prominent member of the Democratic Squad progressive bloc. He supported a $15 national minimum wage, universal health care, and the Green New Deal. He registered as a Democrat the day he turned 18 and described himself as a lifelong, proud member of the party.

At Harvard Divinity School, where he earned a Master of Theological Studies on a full scholarship, Kestenbaum described himself as a “social justice advocate” who had entered the program “expecting open-mindedness.” He wrote for the Orthodox publication Aish.com and focused on Hasidic thought, Holocaust memory, and public policy. By his own account, he “never even thought about antisemitism” before October 2023.

The Hamas attack on October 7 served as Kestenbaum’s political awakening. On the night of the attack, 34 Harvard student groups released an “emergency statement” blaming Israel, with the opening line reading, “We hold the Israeli regime entirely responsible for all unfolding violence.” Kestenbaum witnessed classmates and professors celebrating or justifying what he viewed as a vicious attack against Jews. He described how professors canceled class but offered full credit to students who joined encampments and called for an intifada. His conclusion, stated repeatedly afterward: “On October 7th, I learned that Israel wasn’t the only place under attack — American Jews were too.”

In January 2024, Kestenbaum filed a Title VI civil rights lawsuit against Harvard with Students Against Antisemitism, alleging the university had become “a bastion of rampant anti-Jewish hatred and harassment.”

By July 2024, he accepted an invitation to speak at the Republican National Convention. At the time, he still described himself as a registered Democrat and said he “doubted” he would vote for Trump. He told the RNC audience, “Too often students at Harvard are taught not how to think, but what to think. I found myself immersed in a culture that is anti-Western, that is anti-American, and is antisemitic.” He added, “I am proud to support President Trump’s policies to expel foreign students who violate our laws, harass our Jewish classmates, and desecrate our freedoms.”

Yet even at the RNC, Kestenbaum had not fully shed his progressive commitments. He still explicitly stated that he believed in progressive policy, speaking glowingly about the Green New Deal and a $15 minimum wage. He also sharply criticized Republican speakers at the convention, declaring that former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene and conservative media personality Tucker Carlson represent “the worst aspects of our politics” who “should have no place in the Republican Party.” He walked out of Carlson’s RNC speech the day after his own in quiet protest.

By September 2024, the transformation was complete. At the Republican Jewish Coalition’s annual convention in Las Vegas, Kestenbaum made his formal break with the Democratic Party and endorsed Donald Trump for the presidency. “I did not support Trump in 2016, I did not support Trump in 2020. Hell, I did not support Trump six months ago. Nobody’s perfect,” he declared. “The Democratic Party has taken the Jewish vote and Jewish voters for granted for far too long. I will be supporting, I will be endorsing, I will be voting for President Trump.”

Since joining the Right, Kestenbaum has adopted an increasingly hawkish foreign policy posture. He has described the current moment as “an existential war between the Judeo-Christian West and the opposing forces of Marxism and Islam,” declaring that “Israel is Ground Zero” and that “if Israel loses, it’s the first domino to topple in the West’s ultimate destruction.”

When Donald Trump launched military strikes on Iran in March 2026, Kestenbaum defended the action on Al Arabiya, declaring, “Trump is not starting a war. He is ending one.” He insisted that the President had “a long-term strategic plan for Iran.”

In a January 2026 Word War Debate on PragerU against Michael Rectenwald, Kestenbaum argued that radical Islamist terrorism, not the Israel lobby, represents the main long-term danger for the United States, citing tens of thousands of jihadist attacks worldwide since 9/11. He contrasted Israeli influence with the lobbying footprints of Qatar, China, Saudi Arabia, and Russia, arguing that Washington’s focus on Israel “badly distorts the true scale of global lobbying.”

At a March 2026 Republican Jewish Coalition symposium on antisemitism, Kestenbaum escalated his criticism of figures courting the far right, warning anyone “planning on running for president in 2028” against winking at “this terminally online groyper base,” and declaring that a nominee who does so “will lose elections and quite frankly we will deserve to lose elections.”

At the Jerusalem Post Conference in January 2026, Kestenbaum delivered remarks that encapsulated his evolved worldview. He argued that antisemitism is fundamentally a law enforcement problem, not an educational one:

You will never be able to defeat racism because racism is a mentality and an ideology, right? You can’t dictate your way out of how people think. What you can do is you can tell a bus driver in the 21st century that if you tell a black guy to go to the back of the bus, we will haul your ass to jail that night. Yet, for whatever reason, when it comes to antisemitism, when someone commits an antisemitic act, we don’t send them to jail. Instead, we get the ADL to say, ‘Let’s bring them to a Holocaust museum,’ which a) gives them pretty bad ideas, and b) doesn’t solve anything about the fundamental issue that they violated the law.

He concluded, “So the way we solve antisemitism is pretty goddamn simple... When someone commits a crime, stop sending them on El Al [the flag carrier of the State of Israel] flights. That will make them more antisemitic, I guarantee it. Send their ass to jail. It’s not complicated.”

Speaking at the 2025 RJC Annual Leadership Summit, Kestenbaum warned Republicans, “Do not give a single inch of your party to the crazies and the radicals within your base. You must defeat them — because what happens when you don’t defeat them is you turn into the Democratic Party.” He added, “The Democratic Party, my party, the party that I registered to vote as the day I turned 18, they have lost the last election and will continue to lose elections because they acquiesced, they placated, and they surrendered.”

Far from a sincere ideological metamorphosis, the trajectory of Shabbos Kestenbaum illustrates the cunning adaptability of a Jewish operative who recognizes that the mechanisms of influence can be repurposed to serve his tribe’s interests. In this instance, he deftly wears the skinsuit of American conservatism as a strategic disguise, leveraging his presence within the movement to hoodwink its constituents into advancing a Jewish supremacist agenda that remains antagonistic to the interests of gentile America.

There is a peculiar species of power broker that Washington has always nurtured but rarely named. He does not appear on the Sunday programs. He does not issue statements. He surfaces, briefly and reluctantly, before Senate committees, and then retreats once more behind the institutions that shelter him. Stephen Andrew Feinberg belongs to this species. He is, in the language of his own trade, a distressed asset turned strategic acquisition, a man who built his reputation on acquiring broken things and extracting maximum value before the walls came down.

He was born in the Bronx in 1960, the son of a steel salesman. When he was eight the family relocated to Spring Valley, a suburb north of the city, where young Feinberg distinguished himself not on athletic fields but across chessboards and tennis courts, ranking nationally in the former while competing fiercely in the latter. He arrived at Princeton and studied politics, producing a 94-page senior thesis titled “The Politics of Prostitution and Drug Legalization,” a topic that suggested a mind drawn to contested economies and irregular markets. He captained the tennis team, briefly joined the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) before departing it, and graduated in 1982 with a degree and very few illusions. His net worth today is approximately $5 billion.

Feinberg did not drift into finance so much as locate its pressure points immediately. After a stint at the now defunct Drexel Burnham Lambert, where junk bonds and legal exposure arrived in equal measure, he moved to Gruntal and Company and then, at 32, made his decisive move. In 1992, with a partner named William Richter and $10 million in seed capital, he founded Cerberus Capital Management. The name was chosen deliberately. In Greek mythology, Cerberus guards the entrance to the underworld, permitting entry but refusing exit. The metaphor, for those paying attention, was not accidental.

What Cerberus became over the following three decades was something the financial press struggled to classify. It was a private equity firm, yes, but one with an unusual appetite for distressed and politically sensitive assets. It acquired National and Alamo rental car, Albertson’s grocery chain, Air Canada, a controlling stake in Chrysler, and GMAC, the financing arm of General Motors. It hired former Vice President Dan Quayle as a chairman in 1999 and former Treasury Secretary John Snow in 2006. It trained soldiers through its military contracting subsidiaries and financed hospitals through its health care acquisitions. By 2024, it managed somewhere between $60 and $70 billion in assets.

Feinberg himself remained almost entirely invisible throughout. In 2007, he reportedly addressed Cerberus shareholders with a warning that has since become something of a founding legend in private equity circles: “If anyone at Cerberus has his picture in the paper and a picture of his apartment, we will do more than fire that person. We will kill him. The jail sentence will be worth it.”

A Career in Acquiring Broken Things

The Cerberus ledger assembles a portrait its founder has spent decades trying to keep out of frame. On December 14, 2012, 20-year-old Adam Lanza used a Bushmaster XM15-E2S semi-automatic rifle to kill 20 children and 6 educators at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. The weapon was manufactured by a Cerberus subsidiary. Four days later, Cerberus announced it would divest. It never found a buyer. Some investment banks refused to help with the sale. In the eleven months following the massacre, sales of the Bushmaster rifle surged as politicians debated restrictions on firearms, and Freedom Group posted $94 million in profits compared to just $500,000 during the same period the previous year. Cerberus profited. The company eventually filed for bankruptcy in 2018, burdened by nearly $1 billion in debt that its private equity owners had loaded onto it.

The pattern repeated itself with Steward Health Care. Cerberus purchased a Massachusetts hospital chain in 2010, extracted more than $800 million in profits over the following decade, including a $484 million dividend in 2016 financed by the sale-leaseback of hospital real estate to Medical Properties Trust, and then exited in 2020. What remained was a 31-hospital system saddled with $9 billion in liabilities owed to more than 100,000 creditors. Steward filed for bankruptcy in May 2024. Investigators later documented supply shortages, bat infestations, a patient death attributable to a repossessed medical device, and thousands of unsafe staffing violations.

Tier 1 Group, a Cerberus subsidiary, trained four members of the Saudi royal security detail that would go on to murder Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul in October 2018. The training, conducted under a State Department-approved license from 2014 through at least December 2017, included marksmanship, surveillance, and close-quarters combat. The four men trained by Tier 1 were among a seven-person team drawn from the Rapid Intervention Force, an elite unit that answers exclusively to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Cerberus’s DynCorp subsidiary, owned from 2010 to 2020, paid a combined $22.5 million to settle two separate Department of Justice fraud actions — $1.5 million over kickbacks paid by Iraqi subcontractors in connection with a Baghdad property lease, and $21 million over inflated subcontractor billing under a State Department contract to train Iraqi police forces.

The Epstein Ledger

Among the documents released by the Department of Justice in the Jeffrey Epstein files, Feinberg’s name appears in at least 20 entries. Cerberus Capital Management appears in approximately 360. According to NBC News, the business documents spanning 2009 to 2018 involve Cerberus and include Feinberg’s name, with some linked to Deutsche Bank, an institution known to have maintained financial dealings with Epstein during the same period. The Project on Government Oversight reported that emails in the Epstein files suggest Epstein maintained an active business relationship with Cerberus Capital Management. The precise character of that relationship has not been established. At a February 2026 congressional hearing, Representative Becca Balint asked Attorney General Pam Bondi whether the Department of Justice had questioned Feinberg about his connections to Epstein. Bondi declined to answer. Cerberus and the Pentagon have declined to comment as well.

The Ascent

Feinberg’s formal entry into Republican political life came with the 2016 election cycle. He served on Trump’s Economic Advisory Council, donated nearly $1.5 million to pro-Trump political action committees, and co-hosted a $50,000-per-person fundraising dinner for Trump and the Republican National Committee. In 2017, Trump tasked him with conducting a review of U.S. intelligence agencies. From 2018 to 2021, he served as Chairman of the President’s Intelligence Advisory Board, a position that placed him at the intersection of Wall Street and the classified world without requiring Senate confirmation or public testimony. In December 2024, Trump nominated him as Deputy Secretary of Defense. In March 2025, the Senate confirmed him 59 to 40. He was sworn in as the 36th Deputy Secretary of Defense shortly thereafter and assumed oversight of day-to-day Pentagon operations.

The Hearing and the Hawk

Feinberg’s Senate confirmation hearing in February 2025 produced the only extended record of his public policy views. What emerged was the portrait of a man who had thought carefully about American power and concluded that it was insufficient.

On China, he was unequivocal: “While the United States has all types of threats today, from North Korea to Russia to Iran, by far our biggest threat and most challenging is China. China is the first nation we have ever competed with that has both a great economy and a great military.” He went further, depicting Chinese industrial capacity as a military instrument without parallel: “China’s entire private sector is fully committed in supporting that military development, and as such, they effectively have unlimited funding.”

Iran: The Primary Theater

On Iran, Feinberg’s written advance policy questions to the Senate Armed Services Committee were considerably more forthcoming. He identified five core U.S. national security interests in the Middle East: counterterrorism, the free flow of trade, enabling regional partners and allies, preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon, and ensuring the defense of Israel. The ordering is worth noting. Iran’s nuclear program and Israel’s security appear together as the fourth and fifth priorities in a list of five.

His threat assessment of Iran was stark:

“Iran poses a significant threat to the security of the United States and its Allies and partners. Last year, Iran launched two major missile and drone strikes against Israel from Iranian territory. In addition to Iran’s conventional military, Tehran also leverages proxy forces to launch kinetic attacks and advance their interests across the Middle East.”

On the nuclear question specifically, he wrote:

“Iran also continues to inch closer to gaining a nuclear weapons capability, which is unacceptable. Iranian acquisition of a nuclear weapon would threaten U.S. interests and partner security, provide Iran a shield behind which they could engage in more aggressive proxy activities, and increase the risk of nuclear accidents or miscalculation.”

He pledged to support Trump’s maximum pressure approach fully, describing his role as ensuring the Pentagon stood ready to present the president with military options while simultaneously supporting economic pressure and diplomacy. He also called for increased cooperation with regional and European partners in countering what he termed the Iranian Threat Network, and specifically flagged the significance of Russia’s strategic partnership with Iran as a compounding regional concern.

Golden Dome, Cerberus, and the Self-Dealing Question

Feinberg now oversees the Golden Dome for America missile defense initiative, a $175 billion program modeled on Israel’s Iron Dome system, involving space-based interceptors, ground-based radar arrays, and potentially directed energy technologies. At his confirmation hearing, he described the program with barely restrained urgency: “I adamantly believe that forcing national security systems to vacate these bands would be detrimental to national security. It would degrade our missile defense capabilities when we should be aggressively pursuing an Iron [Dome]...”

A March 2026 ProPublica investigation found that at least four companies awarded contracts for Golden Dome are owned by Cerberus: North Wind, Stratolaunch, Red River Technology, and NetCentrics Corp. Feinberg pledged to divest his holdings upon taking office, but his ethics agreement permits him to continue contracting with Cerberus indefinitely for accounting, tax, and health care services. Ethics experts described the arrangement as an ongoing and structural conflict of interest. Former White House ethics lawyer Richard Painter said Feinberg’s relationship with Cerberus “creates at least a perception of a conflict of interest that could undermine confidence in the fairness of the contracting process.”

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) further raised concerns that Cerberus holds approximately 14 percent of the debt and 24 percent of the preferred stock in Ligado Networks, a firm currently suing the U.S. government for $39 billion. As Deputy Secretary, Feinberg could influence the Department of Defense’s legal posture in that suit. The Pentagon has not addressed the concern formally.

The Operator in Wartime

On February 28, 2026, the United States launched Operation Epic Fury, a military campaign against Iran’s nuclear and missile infrastructure, conducted alongside Israel’s Operation Roaring Lion. Feinberg sits in the chain of command as Deputy Secretary. According to the Wall Street Journal, he held weekly operational calls related to Pentagon logistics as the Iran campaign began drawing down American munitions stockpiles, while the White House moved to press defense contractors to accelerate production.

He has not spoken publicly about the campaign. Public statements have come from Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Undersecretary Elbridge Colby. Feinberg, true to form, has remained silent. His firm, meanwhile, produces the weapons.

The arrangement is singular in its audacity: a man whose financial empire has been stained by state-sponsored violence, institutional collapse, and proximity to notorious trafficking networks now occupies the second-highest office in the Department of Defense amidst a widening war with Iran. This paradox is not a malfunction of the system; it is its design. Washington has long depended on Jewish figures like Feinberg—architects of capital who treat state power as another distressed asset to be liquidated for strategic gain.

Yet the current act in this political saga reveals a deeper, more calculated reality. Feinberg serves as the Hidden Hebraic Hand guiding Secretary Pete Hegseth, who functions as the expendable front goy for an uncompromising “Israel First” agenda. Should this Iran conflict falter, the political fallout will be contained to Hegseth, the designated fall guy. Feinberg, meanwhile, remains secure in his position, shielded by his Jewish privilege. This pattern illustrates the inevitable catastrophe of a leadership class that abandons its national mandate to facilitate the designs of a Jewish power bloc whose loyalties and goals are diametrically opposed to the welfare of the American citizenry.

For 20 years, whenever anyone in Les Wexner’s orbit had a question about his money, his foundation, or his future, the answer was always the same three words. Please ask Jeffrey.

Leslie Herbert Wexner was born on September 8, 1937, in Dayton, Ohio, to Harry Louis Wexner and Bella Cabakoff, both of Russian-Jewish origin. His father was born in Russia, and his mother was born in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, making her the first American-born member of her immigrant family. The family eventually settled in Columbus, Ohio, where his parents opened a small clothing store they named Leslie’s after their son. Wexner attended Bexley High School and Ohio State University, where he joined the historically Jewish fraternity Sigma Alpha Mu.

In 1953, he won a minor award for an essay published in the Ohio Jewish Chronicle titled “Why I Love and Respect Judaism.” He graduated in 1959 with a degree in business administration from Ohio State University, served in the Air National Guard, and briefly enrolled in Moritz College of Law before dropping out.

Wexner’s business career began inside his parents’ store. He had a sharp eye for margins, and he noticed something his father missed: small, fast-moving items like sportswear generated far more profit per square foot than expensive, slow-turning items like winter coats. When Harry Wexner refused to change strategy, his son left. In 1963, armed with a $5,000 loan from his aunt matched by a bank loan, he opened The Limited in Upper Arlington, Ohio, specializing in moderately priced women’s sportswear.

The Limited went public in 1969, and Wexner used that capital as a launching pad for a relentless acquisition campaign. He picked up Mast Industries in 1978, Lane Bryant in 1982, and most consequentially, Victoria’s Secret from founder Roy Raymond for approximately $1 million. By 1992, Victoria’s Secret alone was estimated to be worth roughly $1 billion. Over the decades that followed, Wexner assembled L Brands, a retail conglomerate that at its peak encompassed Victoria’s Secret, Bath and Body Works, Abercrombie and Fitch, Express, Henri Bendel, La Senza, and others.

Fortune described him in 2015 as the longest-serving CEO of any Fortune 500 company. As of the 2025 Forbes 400 list, Wexner and his family hold a net worth of approximately $9.3 billion, making him the richest person in Ohio.

Wexner has said that he “never got a good Jewish education” growing up, which left him feeling unprepared for leadership roles in his Orthodox Jewish community. That sense of inadequacy became the seed of a philanthropic machine. In 1983, he established The Wexner Foundation, now one of the most prominent private Jewish philanthropic organizations in the world, headquartered in New Albany with offices in New York and Jerusalem.

In 1985, he partnered with Rabbi Herbert A. Friedman, the former executive chairman of the United Jewish Appeal, to launch the Wexner Heritage Program, designed to educate Jewish communal leaders “in the history, thought, traditions, and contemporary challenges of the Jewish people.” The foundation subsequently launched the Wexner Graduate Fellowship in 1988 for emerging professional Jewish leaders, and the Wexner Israel Fellowship in 1989, which sent mid-career Israeli public officials to Harvard’s Kennedy School for a fully funded Master in Public Administration, along with a range of other leadership programs in the years that followed.

Over 280 Israeli officials have participated in that fellowship alone. Between 2003 and 2018, the Wexners ranked as the third largest donors to Israeli and Jewish charitable causes in the United States, contributing an estimated $128.4 million during that period, according to Inside Philanthropy. The foundation has described itself as acting from “pure Zionistic motivations” since its inception.

In 1991, Wexner co-founded the Mega Group, officially called the “Study Group,” with Canadian billionaire Charles Bronfman. This was an informal club of up to 50 of America’s wealthiest and most influential Jewish businessmen, including Steven Spielberg, Max Fischer, Michael Steinhardt, Leonard Abramson, Edgar Bronfman, and Laurence Tisch. The group met twice yearly for seminars on philanthropy and Judaism and inspired several major philanthropic initiatives, including the Partnership for Excellence in Jewish Education, Birthright Israel, and the upgrading and expansion of Hillel International on college campuses.

The Mega Group has been described as a pro-Israel lobby group that sought to influence U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East. In 2003, it employed Republican political consultant Frank Luntz to help mobilize American support for Israel. Some analysts, including former NSA counterintelligence officer John Schindler, have argued that Israeli intelligence officials regarded the Mega Group as an instrument for covert influence operations inside the United States.

The Wexner Foundation’s reach extended directly into Israeli political circles. Wexner donated more than $42 million to Harvard’s Kennedy School, funding the Center for Public Leadership and the fellowship that brought Israeli government officials to Cambridge. The foundation was a major funder of Hillel International, whose motto is “Wherever we stand, we stand with Israel,” and financially supported Birthright Israel. In 2023, Wexner donated $100,000 to AIPAC, the most powerful pro-Israel lobbying organization in the United States. The foundation paid former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak approximately $2.3 million between 2004 and 2006 for two commissioned research reports — one on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, one on leadership — only one of which was completed; newly released DOJ emails show Epstein personally approved the transfer. In 1996, Wexner invited former Israeli Prime Minister Shimon Peres to his 59th birthday party in Ohio, which Epstein also helped organize.

In October 2023, following Hamas’s attack on Israel, the Wexner Foundation severed its 34-year relationship with Harvard University, accusing the administration of “tiptoeing” and “equivocating” instead of condemning the attacks. The foundation was particularly outraged that 34 student groups had issued a statement holding “the Israeli regime entirely responsible for all unfolding violence.” The decision came amid a wider wave of donor withdrawals from elite universities over perceived anti-Israel sentiment on campus.

For decades, Wexner was a fixture of Republican politics, once described as the wealthiest Republican donor in Ohio. He and his wife Abigail donated over $5.3 million to state and federal campaigns combined. In 2012, he hosted a fundraiser for Mitt Romney and donated $250,000 to Romney’s super PAC, Restore Our Future. In 2015, he donated $500,000 to Right to Rise USA, the super PAC backing Jeb Bush’s 2016 presidential run. In 2018, Wexner publicly renounced his Republican Party affiliation, declaring “I won’t support this nonsense in the Republican Party” and saying Trump’s equivocation after Charlottesville had made him feel “dirty” and “ashamed,” though he continued giving to Ohio Republicans even after that declaration while his wife donated $750,000 to the Democratic Grassroots Victory Fund in 2020. In 2008, President George W. Bush appointed Wexner to the Honorary Delegation accompanying him to Jerusalem for Israel’s 60th anniversary celebration.

Following the 2026 Epstein revelations, numerous Ohio politicians scrambled to return or donate Wexner’s campaign contributions to charity, including Congresswoman Joyce Beatty, Congressman Mike Carey, and Columbus Mayor Andrew Ginther. No single controversy has defined or damaged Les Wexner more than his decades-long relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. Wexner hired Epstein as his financial manager in 1987. Epstein became his sole and most trusted adviser, and for years Wexner was Epstein’s only known financial client. In 1991, Wexner granted Epstein full power of attorney over his entire estate.

In 1989, Wexner purchased the Herbert N. Straus House in Manhattan, a seven-story townhouse on the Upper East Side. Epstein moved in around 1995; bank documents reviewed by NBC4 and a 1998 purchase and sale agreement reviewed by Al Jazeera show Wexner sold it to him in 1998 for $20 million, which Wexner testified under oath was the appraised value. That mansion became one of the primary locations of Epstein’s reported crimes. Epstein served as a trustee of the Wexner Foundation from 1992 to 2007 and held the title of president of the Wexner family financial office; a 2020 independent review commissioned by the foundation found he “played no meaningful role” in its operations, though a separate CNBC investigation found that $21 million in Wexner family trust assets had been transferred to Epstein’s COUQ Foundation without the Wexners’ knowledge or authorization. Leaked emails revealed that Wexner’s family office staff routinely sought Epstein’s approval for multi-million dollar transactions, tax decisions, and charitable grants, with the recurring refrain: “Please ask Jeffrey.”

L Brands executives warned Wexner in 1993 that Epstein was posing as a Victoria’s Secret model recruiter to lure young women. Wexner reportedly said he “would put a stop to it,” but Epstein continued the practice for years afterward. Wexner formally cut ties with Epstein around 2007, approximately 18 months after Florida authorities charged Epstein with sex crimes, and later accused Epstein of “misappropriating vast sums” from his family.

In February 2026, following the passage of the Epstein Files Transparency Act, Congressman Ro Khanna publicly read the names of previously redacted individuals from FBI documents. A 2019 FBI internal document listed Wexner as one of nine suspected co-conspirators of Epstein, alongside Ghislaine Maxwell and others.

That same month, Wexner was subpoenaed by the House Oversight Committee and gave a nearly five-hour deposition at his Ohio home. He testified under oath that he was “naive, foolish, and gullible” to trust Epstein, that he never witnessed Epstein engage in sexual contact with anyone, that he visited Epstein’s island only briefly with his family and found it “a pretty crummy island,” and that Epstein was “a world Olympic all-time con artist,” adding: “Bernie Madoff is a Boy Scout compared to Jeffrey.” He denied all allegations of personal wrongdoing.

Virginia Giuffre, one of Epstein’s most prominent accusers, testified under oath in a 2016 deposition that she had sex with Wexner “multiple” times, alleging she was trafficked to him by Epstein. Wexner categorically denied these allegations in his 2026 congressional testimony, stating he had “never once been unfaithful” to his wife “in any way, shape, or form.” No criminal charges have resulted from these allegations. In 1996, artist Maria Farmer filed one of the earliest known complaints against Epstein, alleging she was sexually assaulted by Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell while working as an artist-in-residence on Wexner’s Ohio estate. Farmer’s complaint did not result in prosecution at the time.

In the 1990s, Wexner and Epstein were involved in relocating Southern Air Transport, a former CIA front airline with documented ties to the Iran-Contra affair and allegations of cocaine trafficking, from Miami to Columbus, Ohio. SAT was used to transport goods for Wexner’s Limited Brands retail chain. In 1996, customs agents discovered cocaine hidden aboard a SAT plane in Columbus. The airline abruptly declared bankruptcy on October 1, 1998, exactly one week before the CIA Inspector General released official findings linking the airline to Contra cocaine trafficking allegations. Investigative journalist Bob Fitrakis identified Epstein as playing a crucial role in the relocation, and multiple Ohio state investigators who looked into the matter were reportedly removed from their positions.

The airline’s collapse was not the first time Wexner’s business orbit had intersected with a sudden, suspicious death. In 1985, attorney Arthur Shapiro, a partner at the Columbus law firm Schwartz, Shapiro, Kelm & Warren who personally managed The Limited’s account, was assassinated the day before he was to testify before a grand jury about his own illegal tax conduct — including seven years of unfiled returns and investments in fraudulent tax shelters. The killing was described as resembling a “Mafia hit.”

A police investigation examined possible connections between Shapiro, organized crime, and Wexner’s businesses. A police memo, later called the “Shapiro Murder File,” linked some of Wexner’s companies and associates — including the principal trucking carrier for The Limited — to entities allegedly tied to organized crime, though authorities called these connections “highly speculative.” The main suspect was Shapiro’s own business associate, Barry Kessler, who had a documented history of contracting murders of business partners and was later convicted in 1994 of hiring a hitman to kill a Florida associate. The murder was never officially solved.

Les Wexner has never been criminally charged with any offense. He has consistently maintained that he was a victim of Epstein’s deception, that he had no knowledge of Epstein’s crimes, and that he has not been involved in any wrongdoing. The House Oversight Committee’s investigation into his role remained ongoing as of February 2026.

In the shadow of these revelations, Leslie Wexner emerges as yet another archetype of the shadowy Jewish oligarch, wielding immense financial and political leverage while ensnared in webs of scandal that strain the boundaries of coincidence. Though no criminal indictment has yet ensnared him, the persistent drip of journalistic scrutiny and forthcoming releases from the Epstein archives promise to illuminate the full extent of his complicity, transforming speculation into irrefutable evidence. In this unfolding tableau, Wexner’s case will crystallize as a pivotal artifact in the evidentiary mosaic demonstrating that the United States is a polity steered by organized Jewry for its sole benefit.

Most mega-donors buy influence quietly. Jewish oligarch Haim Saban prefers to explain exactly how it works.

The question came from the stage at the 10th annual Israeli-American Council National Summit, held in Hollywood, Florida in January 2026. Shawn Evenhaim, the IAC’s board chairman emeritus, turned to the two most powerful Jewish, pro-Israel megadonors in American politics and asked them, simply, how they gain influence over politicians.

Miriam Adelson declined to answer, saying she wanted to “be truthful” but “there are so many things I don’t want to talk about.”

Haim Saban had no such reluctance.

“It’s a system that we did not create,” he said. “It’s a legal system and we just play within the system. Those who give more have more access and those who give less have less access. It’s simple math. Trust me.”

Moments earlier, when asked whether Jewish community influence in the United States was weakening, Saban dismissed the anxiety with characteristic confidence. “I can tell you,” he told the 3,500 assembled Israeli-Americans, “that my influence is not weakening.”

To understand why Saban could say that with a shrug, you must go back to where he started.

Haim Saban was born on October 15, 1944, in Alexandria, Egypt. In 1956, amid anti-Jewish hostility following the Suez Crisis, the Saban family fled Egypt and immigrated to Israel, settling in a rough Tel Aviv neighborhood where they shared a communal bathroom, as Saban frequently recounts, “with a hooker and her pimp.” A school principal told the young Saban he was “not cut out for academic studies.” He served in the Israel Defense Forces during both the Six Day War and the Yom Kippur War.

In 1966, he became bassist for the Israeli rock band The Lions of Judah despite not knowing how to play bass, conditioning his work booking their gigs on becoming their musician. The band signed with Polydor and appeared on the BBC, but money ran dry. By the early 1970s, Saban had relocated to France, where he and partner Shuki Levy built a niche creating theme music for American TV shows broadcast overseas, providing the music free while retaining the rights.

The business generated 15 gold and platinum records and $10 million annually within seven years. But the empire rested on a fault line. A 1998 Hollywood Reporter investigation revealed that Saban had not actually composed all 3,700 works credited to his name. Ten composers threatened legal action, and Saban quietly settled out of court.

Saban moved to Los Angeles in 1983 and founded Saban Entertainment in 1988. His breakthrough came after eight years of failed pitches when Fox agreed to buy his Americanized adaptation of a Japanese children’s show. The result was Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, which debuted in 1993 and generated over $6 billion in toy sales.

The franchise’s success came with costs. In 1998, the Screen Actors Guild declared Saban Entertainment “unfair to performers” and accused the company of “economic exploitation of children,” ordering members not to work for his shows. Power Rangers was produced non-union, with child actors denied residuals and subjected to hazardous conditions. In 2001, Fox Family Worldwide sold to The Walt Disney Company for $5.3 billion.

In 2003, Saban led a consortium acquiring a controlling stake in ProSiebenSat.1 Media, Germany’s largest commercial television company. He reportedly received the call confirming the deal while standing in the Dachau crematorium with his son. The consortium sold its stake in 2007 for roughly three times what they paid.

In 2006, Saban Capital Group led a consortium acquiring Univision Communications, the largest Spanish-language broadcaster in the United States, for approximately $13.7 billion. It sold in 2020 for around $800 million for a 64% stake, making the investment one of the most expensive failures in media history.

What Saban lost in money, he appeared to gain when it came to consolidating pro-Zionist narratives In Spanish-speaking media. Critics at Al Jazeera noted that Univision’s 2011 documentary “La Amenaza Iraní” (The Iranian Threat), examining Iran’s alleged ties to Latin American governments, “regurgitate[d] all the pro-war right’s by now familiar talking points about nefarious Islamists acting in concert with leftist Bolivarians to bring Terror to the US’ doorstep.” It was screened for English-speaking audiences at the Hudson Institute, a neoconservative Washington think tank that routinely pushes a hardline Zionist agenda. The SourceWatch project characterized Univision’s channels as having “been used to broadcast pro-Israeli propaganda” under Saban’s ownership.

The Univision-Clinton entanglement deepened the scrutiny. A 2014 early childhood initiative between Univision and the Clinton Foundation featured Hillary Clinton’s face in five of seven promotional slides on Univision’s website. When the network later reported on allegations that foundation donations had influenced Clinton as Secretary of State, Univision did not disclose its own foundation partnership.

Across both business and politics, Saban operated under a single guiding principle: advancing what he believed to be in Israel’s best interests. “I’m a one-issue guy,” he said publicly, “and my issue is Israel.”

His three-pronged strategy, outlined at his own Saban Forum, is to fund political campaigns, bankroll think tanks, and control media. He gave the Democratic National Committee a single gift of $7 million in 2002, at the time the largest donation in DNC history. His total giving to Clinton causes exceeded $27 million, including a $13 million founding grant to establish the Saban Center for Middle East Policy at Brookings, then the largest donation in Brookings history. He recruited Martin Indyk, former U.S. Ambassador to Israel and former AIPAC deputy research director, to run it.

He funds the Saban National Political Leadership Training Seminar through AIPAC, providing up to 300 college students with pro-Israel advocacy training annually. He was an early donor to the IAC beginning in 2008, briefly partnered with Sheldon Adelson on Campus Maccabees, an anti-BDS initiative, from 2013 to 2015, then quietly pulled out to preserve his standing with Clinton.

Notably, Saban played a behind-the-scenes role in the Abraham Accords, advising UAE Ambassador Yousef Al Otaiba to publish an op-ed warning against Israeli annexation of the West Bank, helping him place and translate it into Hebrew, and privately urging UAE Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed to normalize relations with Israel. Jared Kushner credited that op-ed as a catalyst for the normalization talks.

As mentioned before, Saban is a flexible strategist when it comes to dealing with Left and the Right. He has forged close ties with Ariel Sharon, who moved him in a more hawkish direction on security matters. “History proved that Sharon was right and I was wrong,” Saban has said. “In matters relating to security, that moved me to the right. Very far to the right.”

When Saban decided in 2014 that Obama might strike a bad deal with Iran, he did not mince words at the Israeli American Council. “I would bomb the living daylights out of these sons of bitches.” Despite being a reliable donor to the Democratic Party, Saban has shown a willingness to attack people in the party who deviate from the Zionist consensus. He labeled DNC chair candidate Keith Ellison “clearly an anti-Semite.” When Joe Biden conditioned weapons shipments to Israel in 2024, Saban sent an angry email calling it a “bad,,,bad,,,bad,,,decision” and arguing there were “more Jewish voters, who care about Israel, than Muslim voters that care about Hamas.”

Saban’s fierce advocacy for Israel is inseparable from his identity. Haim Saban currently holds dual Israeli-American citizenship. The Jerusalem Post ranked him number one on its list of the 50 Most Influential Jews in 2016. Israeli TV host Dana Weiss once called him “our rich uncle.”

In Saban’s political universe, the traditional left-right spectrum is little more than a convenient vehicle—to be boarded or abandoned depending on which direction best serves the project of Israeli dominance in the Middle East.

From Israel’s paratrooper units to Colombia’s conflict zones, Yair Klein exported his special operations expertise to train cartel-linked fighters, leaving a trail of devastation amid ongoing questions about justice for his role. Klein had a storied career within the Israel Defense Forces. He served in the elite paratroopers and commanded a secretive reconnaissance unit, positions granting him access to Israel’s most sensitive military tactics. In 1972, he participated in Operation Isotope, the highly-publicized rescue of hostages aboard Sabena Flight 571 at Tel Aviv’s Lod Airport. The Sayeret Matkal unit neutralized Black September hijackers in just six and a half seconds, cementing Klein’s reputation as a skilled special operations soldier.

Klein’s combat résumé deepened during the Lebanon War of the early 1980s, where he commanded both a battalion and an infantry brigade. This experience in Lebanon’s chaotic counterinsurgency warfare exposed him to urban combat and the intricate relationships between regular military forces and irregular militia groups. This knowledge would become his most valuable commodity.

Professor Aharon Klieman of Tel Aviv University captured the economic logic driving Klein’s career transition with brutal clarity. “If you take a guy who grows up on a farm and then goes to the army, when he leaves, he knows two things: how to cultivate tomatoes and warfare,” Klieman explained. “There is much more money in warfare.”

Around 1983, Klein co-founded Spearhead Ltd, operating from Tel Aviv offices. What distinguished Klein from common mercenaries was the official sanction he received from the Israeli state. A 1986 document signed by then-Defense Minister Yitzhak Rabin explicitly licensed Spearhead for “the export of military know-how and defence equipment.”

His first major client emerged from Lebanese connections. The Christian Phalange Militia, perpetrators of the Sabra and Shatila massacres that killed between 1,300 and 3,500 Palestinian and Lebanese Shia civilians in 1982, needed equipment. “The Phalanges needed belts, helmets and personal equipment,” Klein recalled matter-of-factly. This initial deal netted $2 million, enough for Klein to decide to dedicate himself fully to “teaching and promoting the art of war throughout the world.”

Klein’s involvement in Colombia began in 1987, when the country’s conflict among the state, leftist guerrillas, drug traffickers, and emerging paramilitaries was putting the state on the brink of collapse. Klein has consistently maintained his entry was legitimate, claiming he traveled to Colombia to offer services to “peasants who wanted to confront guerrillas.”

According to Klein’s account, his 1987 visit included meetings with Police Chief Carlos Arturo Casadiego, representatives of Atlas Security, and members of the Department of Administrative Security (DAS), Colombia’s now-defunct intelligence agency. Klein claimed DAS agents greeted him at Bogotá’s El Dorado Airport during his second 1988 visit and assured him “there was nothing illegal” about his activities.

Between 1988 and 1989, Klein established training operations in Puerto Boyacá, a municipality controlled by ACDEGAM, an organization fronting for paramilitary death squads funded by wealthy landowners and the Medellín Cartel. Klein admitted receiving $40,000 for 1988 training, though Colombian investigations revealed payments totaling $70,000 annually through three installments from an unnamed congressman in Bogotá, Luis Meneses in Jerusalem, and local Puerto Boyacá contacts.

Klein’s client list represented a rogues’ gallery of Colombia’s criminal underworld. Among his trainees were Pablo Escobar Gaviria, the world’s most powerful cocaine trafficker, and Gonzalo Rodríguez Gacha (”El Mexicano”), one of the Medellín Cartel’s most infamous figures.

Most significantly, Klein trained the Castaño brothers, who would found the AUC (United Self-Defense Forces of Colombia), the most deadly paramilitary organization in Colombian history. Carlos Castaño Gil had previously spent 1983-1984 in Israel receiving military training at Hebrew University and Israeli military schools. In his autobiography Mi Confesión, Castaño expressed his admiration for Israeli Jews: “I admire the Jews for their bravery in confronting anti-Semitism, their strategy for survival in the diaspora, the surety of their Zionism, their mysticism, their religion and above all for their nationalism.”

The most damning evidence emerged from a training video broadcast by NBC News on August 21, 1989, just three days after presidential candidate Luis Carlos Galán’s assassination. The video, reportedly made by drug lords to demonstrate their capabilities, showed Klein and other instructors teaching military tactics, bomb-making techniques, assassination methods, ambush strategies, and terror tactics designed to destabilize political opposition.

A 1991 U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency report listed Klein among “the more important Colombian narco-terrorists contracted by the Colombian narcotic cartels for security, transportation, distribution, collection and enforcement of narcotics operations.” The DIA described Klein as having sent “advisors to the Medellín cartel to train the cartel paramilitary forces and selected assassin team leaders on how to unleash waves of terrorism in Colombia.” Klein’s team included other Israelis such as Teddy Melnik and a figure known only as “Mike N.,” along with British mercenaries teaching the use of plastic explosives, grenades, and letter bombs.

The consequences of Klein’s instruction of Colombian paramilitary and cartel actors manifested in some of the country’s most notorious killings. Luis Carlos Galán was murdered on August 18, 1989, with an Israeli Galil rifle traced to Klein’s weapons shipments. The presidential candidate and anti-drug crusader’s death shocked Colombia and the world. Jaime Garzón, Colombia’s most beloved political satirist and peace activist, was assassinated on August 13, 1999, on orders from Carlos Castaño. Avianca Flight 203 was bombed mid-flight on November 27, 1989, killing all 107 people aboard. Klein was suspected of training the Medellín Cartel-affiliated bombers and supplying them with explosive materials. On top of that, the cartel’s bombing of the DAS Headquarters on December 6, 1989, resulted in the deaths of 63 people and approximately 1,000 other people injured in Bogotá.

Klein’s perfidy did not end there. In March and April 1989, Klein orchestrated what became known as the “Guns for Antigua“ scandal. The conspiracy involved shipping 400 IMI Galil assault rifles, 100 Uzi submachine guns, and 200,000 rounds of ammunition from Israel through Antigua and Barbuda to the Medellín Cartel.

The operation involved several key figures working in coordination. Maurice Sarfati, a Lebanese-born Israeli, established a melon farm in Antigua that served as cover for the scheme, receiving financial backing from Bruce Rappaport. Rappaport himself was an international banker believed to maintain contacts with intelligence services including the CIA and Mossad, and counted former CIA Director William J. Casey among his personal friends. The third major conspirator was Vere Bird Jr., Antigua’s Minister of Public Works, who provided official legitimacy to the operation by signing the end-user certificate that falsely promised the weapons would not be transferred to third parties.

The Israeli government shipped the weapons from Haifa port with Israel Military Industries sending guns in sealed containers marked “machine parts.” An Israeli Defense Ministry spokesperson later admitted the transaction was carried out “under all the usual procedures at the Defense Department.”

The conspiracy unraveled after Galán’s assassination when Colombian police raided Rodríguez Gacha’s home and discovered hundreds of IMI Galil rifles, including the murder weapon. Serial numbers on 215 rifles traced directly to the Israeli government shipment to Antigua.

Klein later made explosive claims that the entire Antigua operation was orchestrated by the CIA as preparation for a coup against Panamanian leader Manuel Noriega. According to Klein, the CIA hired him to train Colombians on Antigua for overthrowing Noriega, the operation was cancelled one week before execution, and after the U.S. military invaded Panama in December 1989, Luis Meneses was told he could “do what he wanted” with the weapons, which were sold to the Medellín Cartel. Klein claimed the CIA attempted to cover its tracks by “smearing” his name.

Klein’s operations were not rogue activities but government-sanctioned business. Multiple lines of evidence demonstrate Israeli awareness and authorization of his actions.

As mentioned before, the 1986 document signed by Defense Minister Yitzhak Rabin explicitly authorized Spearhead Ltd for military exports. Klein carried Israeli permits when entering Colombia. A 1991 U.S. Senate report specifically noted that “Israeli Embassy personnel (in Colombia) knew Yair Klein was operating in Colombia, but no action was taken against him until after reports of his activities surfaced in the media.”

According to Klein, Zvi Reuter, head of the Israeli Defense Ministry’s arms industry liaison department, “was duly informed of every move they made.” One high-ranking Colombian official stated “unequivocally” that “officials of the Israeli government knew and consented to the sale of the arms shipment to Colombia.”

After international exposure in 1989, the Israeli government attempted to distance itself. Defense Minister Rabin, who had signed Klein’s export license three years earlier, ordered Israeli families to leave Colombia and pressed for investigations. Officials began calling Klein a “mercenary,” as if he were an independent actor rather than a licensed contractor.

Klein became disillusioned with this abandonment. “It’s so hypocritical,” he told journalists. “Spearhead was the only organisation that served American interests, because it was fighting the Communist guerrillas, which were such a threat to the interests of the Americans. Now they turn around and say that cocaine is the biggest threat, so they turned against Spearhead.”

Israeli journalist Nahum Barnea defended Klein in Yedioth Ahronoth, noting that when Klein fought in Lebanon, Israel had done similar things with right-wing Phalangist allies active in the Lebanese drug trade. “The truth is that Yair Klein and myself have already gone to war in the service of the drug cartel once,” Barnea wrote. “It happened seven years ago in the Lebanon war… what is the moral difference?”

Klein’s mercenary activities extended beyond Latin America to West Africa. In 1999, he was arrested in Sierra Leone on charges of smuggling arms to the Revolutionary United Front, the rebel group infamous for systematic amputations, mass rape, and child soldiers during Sierra Leone’s brutal civil war.

Klein spent 16 months imprisoned before his April 2000 release. Testimony before the U.S. Congress revealed Klein’s involvement dated to at least 1996, allegedly providing “military material and training in Liberia and Sierra Leone.”

Investigations revealed Klein’s involvement in diamond mining operations, suggesting his real profit lay in natural resource access. Sierra Leone’s diamond fields financed the RUF’s war machine, and Klein’s alleged role in arming rebels would have facilitated black market access.

On February 23, 2001, the Special Judicial Criminal Circuit of Manizales, Colombia, sentenced Klein to 14 years in prison for training paramilitary groups and drug trafficking militias. On appeal, the Superior Court reduced this to 10 years and 8 months on charges including criminal conspiracy, illegal formation of a paramilitary group, and training terrorist organizations.

In August 2007, Russian authorities arrested Klein at Moscow Airport on an Interpol warrant. Russia’s Prosecutor General initially ordered his extradition to Colombia on January 29, 2008. Klein’s family argued that extradition would mean “certain death,” which prompted them to hire an aggressive legal team.

In April 2010, the European Court of Human Rights blocked Klein’s extradition, ruling he could be seriously mistreated and Colombia could not guarantee his physical safety. The Russian government appealed, but the ECHR upheld its ruling. On November 18-20, 2010, Russia released Klein and allowed his return to Israel, reportedly as a prisoner exchange. Klein landed at Ben-Gurion Airport around midnight, greeted by family and girlfriend Michal Bar.

Colombian officials reacted with outrage. Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos denounced Klein as an “engineer of terror.” In January 2011, Colombia formally requested that Israel extradite Klein, but under Israeli law, he was ineligible because he was in Israel at the time of the request and the crime was committed outside Israeli territory.

On June 10, 2012, Klein’s Colombian sentence expired in absentia. The First Court of Manizales ruled the full sentence had been completed and canceled the international arrest warrant. Klein had “paid the sentence in hiding.”

Klein has consistently maintained he trained “peasants who wanted to confront guerrillas” and believed he was helping farmers create “self-defense” units. He claimed that he had “no idea what he was doing was illegal” and insisted everything was done “with the approval of the Colombian authorities.”

Klein denied knowing trainees included Escobar and Rodríguez Gacha employees, claiming ignorance of drug trafficking connections. In a 2007 interview, Klein stated he was willing to return and help destroy the Marxist FARC guerrillas, criticized paramilitary demobilization as “stupid” while FARC remained active, and declared “the best chapter of my life was my time in Colombia” with regret at not having the ability to do more.

Klein’s controversies on Colombian soil did not end there. In November 2012, Klein made explosive allegations during testimony to a Colombian court. He claimed one of the landowners financing paramilitary training later became president, heavily implying Álvaro Uribe Vélez, who served from 2002-2010, was involved in such activity.

“One of the trainees was later president of Colombia…he was one of the landowners who paid for the training…I’m not saying the name because you know exactly who it is,” Klein stated. He clarified he had never met or been paid by Uribe directly but had been told Uribe was among those financing the training. Uribe responded furiously via Twitter, calling Klein a “bandit” (bandido) and “coward” (cobarde).

Despite overwhelming evidence that Klein’s training contributed to tens of thousands of deaths, his punishments were negligible. For the Guns for Antigua scandal, Klein pleaded guilty in Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court in November 1990 to three counts of illegally exporting military equipment. His punishment was merely a fine of $13,400.

His Colombian conviction of 10 years and 8 months was served entirely in absentia, with the sentence expiring due to the passage of time. His Sierra Leone detention lasted 16 months before release. No prosecution occurred for the specific massacres and assassinations his trainees committed.

Klein remains free today in Israel, protected from extradition by legal technicalities and the European Court of Human Rights’ concerns about Colombian prison conditions. The world demands justice for Yair Klein’s carnage, but Jewish networks and legal loopholes ensure he’ll die laughing—the ultimate sign of Jewish privilege in action.

If there’s one thing the Trump era has taught us, it’s that President Donald Trump is hyper-focused on serving the interests of the slimiest elements of American Jewry.

On a December evening in 2020, Trump granted clemency to Philip Esformes, a South Florida nursing home operator serving a 20-year sentence for orchestrating what federal prosecutors called the largest individual healthcare fraud scheme ever prosecuted in American history. The commutation freed Esformes from prison after he had served just over four years, though it left his conviction and roughly $44 million in financial penalties intact.

Born in 1968 into an Orthodox Jewish family, Philip Esformes grew up surrounded by both faith and the nursing home business. His father, Rabbi Morris Esformes, built a reputation as a prominent facility owner and major philanthropist within Jewish communities. Public records trace the family’s ancestry to Salonika, Greece, historically home to a thriving Sephardic Jewish population. The elder Esformes created a legacy in long-term care, and his son appeared destined to follow that path.

Philip Esformes entered the healthcare industry and eventually controlled a network of skilled nursing facilities and assisted living centers across South Florida. By the mid-2000s, his business empire seemed prosperous on the surface. Yet federal investigators were already examining troubling patterns in how his facilities operated and billed government healthcare programs.

The first warning signs emerged in 2006 when Esformes and associates connected to Larkin Community Hospital reached a civil settlement with federal and Florida authorities. The $15.4 million agreement resolved allegations involving kickbacks and admitting patients for medically unnecessary treatment. Though the settlement required no admission of wrongdoing, prosecutors later pointed to this episode as evidence that suspicious conduct continued unchecked.

A decade later, federal authorities brought criminal charges that painted a portrait of systematic fraud on an unprecedented scale. In July 2016, prosecutors indicted Esformes on multiple counts related to what they described as a roughly $1.3 billion scheme to defraud Medicare and Medicaid. The government’s case detailed an intricate operation designed to maximize profits by manipulating patient care and gaming federal reimbursement rules.

According to court filings, Esformes orchestrated a system that moved beneficiaries among hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and assisted living centers in carefully timed patterns. These transfers satisfied Medicare eligibility requirements such as mandatory three-day hospital stays and 100-day skilled nursing limits, allowing facilities to restart billing cycles regardless of whether patients actually needed the care. Prosecutors alleged that medical decisions took a back seat to financial calculations.

The scheme allegedly extended beyond unnecessary services. Federal authorities claimed Esformes paid kickbacks and bribes to physicians and physician assistants who referred patients to his network. These illegal payments flowed through intermediaries and were disguised as legitimate business expenses. Some payments were allegedly hidden as charitable donations, prosecutors said, while others appeared in fake contracts and invoices designed to conceal their true purpose.

Court documents described additional allegations involving bribery of a Florida healthcare regulator. According to government filings, Esformes sought advance notice of facility inspections, allowing him to prepare for oversight visits that might otherwise uncover problems. The government’s detention memo outlined roughly $1 billion in fraudulent claims based on data from 2009 through 2016 alone, noting that the total loss likely climbed higher when accounting for other years and Medicaid billing.

The scope of the alleged fraud extended into Esformes’ personal life. Prosecutors claimed he used proceeds from the scheme to fund an extravagant lifestyle and engage in unrelated criminal conduct. Among the most notable allegations was his purported payment of bribes to a University of Pennsylvania basketball coach to facilitate his son’s admission to the school. This conduct, while separate from the healthcare fraud, illustrated how prosecutors believed illegal profits financed various forms of corruption.

After a lengthy trial in 2019, a federal jury convicted Esformes on numerous counts including conspiracy to defraud the United States, kickback violations, money laundering, federal program bribery conspiracy, and obstruction of justice. U.S. District Judge Robert Scola of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida sentenced him to 20 years in federal prison and imposed roughly $5.5 million in restitution along with approximately $38.7 million in forfeiture penalties.

Throughout the legal proceedings, Esformes and his defense team fought the charges on multiple fronts. They raised concerns about prosecutorial conduct, particularly allegations that federal authorities improperly accessed attorney-client privileged materials during their investigation. These claims sparked a significant legal battle that continued through the appeals process. The Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals ultimately affirmed the conviction in 2023, concluding that suppression and exclusion remedies adequately addressed any prosecutorial missteps and that dismissing the entire case was unwarranted.

The commutation from President Trump arrived in late December 2020, during the final weeks of his first term. Reporting on the clemency decision highlighted support from prominent figures and faith-based advocacy organizations. The Orthodox Jewish non-profit Aleph Institute played a significant role in pushing for Esformes’ release, according to investigative journalism. Supporters portrayed him as a devout man who had suffered enough and deserved compassion. Critics, however, viewed the commutation as an example of how personal connections and Jewish advocacy networks could influence presidential mercy outside traditional Department of Justice clemency procedures.

Even with his prison sentence commuted, Esformes’ legal troubles persisted. Federal prosecutors announced plans to retry him on counts where the original jury had deadlocked. In 2021, Judge Scola set bond at an eye-popping $50 million and imposed strict restrictions on his travel documents, reflecting concerns about flight risk. These proceedings stretched on for years as both sides negotiated over the remaining charges.

In February 2024, Esformes reached a plea agreement with prosecutors. He pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit healthcare fraud and received a sentence of time served. Under the agreement, prosecutors dismissed the other pending counts, finally closing the door on the criminal case that had consumed more than eight years of litigation. The plea brought a measure of closure to a prosecution that had become one of the most closely watched healthcare fraud cases in American legal history.

Yet new troubles emerged later that same year. In October 2024, Miami-Dade County authorities arrested Esformes on felony charges including victim or witness tampering and criminal mischief connected to a domestic violence incident. The arrest generated fresh headlines and prompted renewed scrutiny of Trump’s clemency decisions. The New York Times reported on the charges and placed them within a broader examination of how some clemency recipients had reoffended after receiving presidential mercy. Some news accounts later indicated that prosecutors dropped the domestic violence case, though the arrest remained part of the public record.

In freeing Esformes, Donald Trump once again proves his blind fealty to the worst villains of Judea, especially its underworld cohort, reducing the presidency to a rubber stamp for Jewish billion-dollar thefts that bleed America dry. As posterity pens the verdict, Trump’s populist facade crumbles to dust: a stalking horse galloping blindly for Jewish overlords like the Esformes clan, forsaking America’s preservation for pan-Judah’s gain.

Paul Elliott Singer stands as one of the most influential figures in global finance. The Jewish billionaire hedge fund manager has amassed a fortune estimated at $6.2 billion to $6.7 billion by purchasing distressed sovereign debt and corporate bonds at deep discounts, then pursuing ruthless legal campaigns to extract full repayment plus interest.

Born August 22, 1944, in Teaneck, New Jersey, Singer transformed a $1.3 million startup in 1977 into Elliott Management, a hedge fund empire managing approximately $65.5 billion to $72 billion in assets.

Yet Singer does more than just make financial moves. He has emerged as a kingmaker in Republican politics, becoming the second-largest GOP donor in 2016, and a major force behind AIPAC, immigration reform, and LGBT rights advocacy. His business model has devastated entire communities from Sidney, Nebraska, to Buenos Aires, Argentina. His political activism spans seemingly contradictory causes, supporting both hawkish pro-Israel policies and same-sex marriage rights. His most recent venture, the $5.9 billion purchase of Venezuela’s Citgo assets, positions him to reap billions from the Trump administration’s military intervention in Venezuela.

Singer’s business model has earned him the moniker vulture capitalist. In the 1990s, Singer began leaving his mark after purchasing $20 million in Peruvian sovereign debt. Through aggressive litigation, he eventually secured a payout of $58 million, nearly triple his investment. A U.S. court revealed that Elliott’s purchase of Peruvian debt was made with the explicit intention of pursuing full repayment through lawsuits. Investigative journalist Greg Palast reported that Singer’s lawyer allegedly told him Singer allowed Peru’s President Alberto Fujimori, who fled the country ahead of murder charges, to escape in return for ordering Peru’s treasury to pay Singer $58 million.

Between 2002 and 2003, Singer earned over $100 million from a $30 million investment in Congo-Brazzaville debt. But his most audacious campaign targeted Argentina. After Argentina’s 2001 economic crisis, Singer purchased distressed bonds for approximately $117 million. He refused to participate in debt restructuring agreements that other creditors accepted, instead pursuing full repayment through international courts. The campaign culminated in a 2016 settlement that netted Elliott Management $2.4 billion, a staggering 1,270 percent return.

Singer’s tactics proved extraordinary even by hedge fund standards. In 2012, Elliott successfully convinced a Ghanaian court to detain the Argentine naval training vessel ARA Libertad with 220 crew members aboard, demanding $20 million for its release. Then-Argentine President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner refused to pay Singer’s fund, calling Elliott and similar firms “financial terrorists” and vulture funds. The Obama administration and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton demanded courts dismiss Singer’s attempt to bankrupt Argentina, but Singer’s legal campaign ultimately prevailed.

Pro-Israel Bankroller

Singer has emerged as one of the most significant donors to pro-Israel causes in the United States. Through The Paul E. Singer Foundation, he has donated approximately $300 million since 2010. Singer donated $2 million to AIPAC and contributed $3 million to AIPAC’s super PAC, United Democracy Project, since 2022, making him tied for AIPAC’s third-largest donor. He serves on the board of directors of the Republican Jewish Coalition and co-founded Start-Up Nation Central, an organization dedicated to connecting Israeli innovation with global markets.

Singer has also been a major funder of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, a neoconservative think tank advocating hawkish policies aligned with Israeli interests. From 2008 to 2011, Singer contributed $3.6 million to FDD, making him the organization’s second-largest donor. The organization has been described by former Secretary of State Colin Powell’s chief of staff Lawrence Wilkerson as a fervent advocate for war against Iran. At the Jewish Funders Network in Jerusalem, Singer stated that “Israel may be the only insurance policy all Jews, everywhere, can rely upon for the safety and continuity of Judaism.”

Promoter of LGBT Degeneracy and Mass Migration

Like many Jewish plutocrats, Singer became a significant supporter of LGBT causes after his son Andrew came out as a homosexual. In 2012, Singer provided $1 million to start American Unity PAC, whose sole mission was to encourage Republican candidates to support same-sex marriage. From 2012 to 2015, he contributed over $5.5 million to this organization. In 2013, Singer donated $500,000 to the Human Rights Campaign. Since 2001, Singer has donated more than $11 million toward legalizing homosexual marriage and supporting LGBT causes.

Singer’s crusade to redefine marriage within Republican ranks was just one facet of his broader agenda; he soon pivoted to advocating mass immigration to transform America’s demographics. In 2013, Singer made a six-figure donation to the National Immigration Forum to support comprehensive immigration reform, better known as amnesty. As one of the first high-profile Republican megadonors to publicly back amnesty, Singer worked to marshal conservative support for an overhaul of federal laws. In 2014, Singer formed the American Opportunity Alliance, bringing together wealthy Republican donors who shared his support for LGBTQ rights, immigration reform, and Israel.

Singer’s Looting of Sidney, Nebraska

Singer’s domestic business dealings generated controversies as devastating as his international operations. In 2015, Elliott Management acquired an 11 percent stake in outdoor retailer Cabela’s and forced a merger with Bass Pro Shops that devastated Sidney, Nebraska, where Cabela’s was headquartered. The town experienced massive job losses, a significant housing value collapse, and economic depression. According to court filings, Elliott pressured Cabela’s board to sell the company until the board relented. The merger resulted in Elliott making nearly $100 million profit. Residents told Fox News producers that the hedge fund destroyed their town, with one saying, “If money is that big of a God to him, he is a pretty sick human being.”

Tucker Carlson’s Exposé

In December 2019, Fox News host Tucker Carlson devoted a major investigative segment to Paul Singer, focusing on the Cabela’s case. Carlson described Singer’s business model as “vulture capitalism” that involves “buying large stakes in American companies, firing workers, driving up short-term share prices, and in some cases, taking government bailouts.” He stated, “It bears no resemblance whatsoever to the capitalism we were promised in school. It creates nothing. It destroys entire cities. It couldn’t be uglier or more destructive.”

Carlson emphasized Singer’s political power, noting that “people like Paul Singer have tremendous influence over our political process.” He revealed that Singer was “the second largest donor to the Republican Party in 2016 and has given millions to a super PAC that supports Republican senators. Carlson noted, “You may never have heard of Paul Singer, which tells you a lot in itself, but in Washington he is rock star famous.”

As Carlson was producing the segment, he reported being warned repeatedly by people around Washington, “Don’t criticize Paul Singer, that’s not a good idea.” During the broadcast, Carlson received a text from a very well-known person in Washington saying, “Holy smokes, I can’t believe you’re doing this. I’m afraid of Paul Singer.”

Venezuela and Citgo

One of Singer’s most recent controversial business deals involves Venezuela’s Citgo Petroleum. In November 2025, Elliott Investment Management won a court-mandated auction to purchase Citgo for $5.9 billion. Citgo represents the crown jewel of Venezuela’s international oil assets, owning three major Gulf Coast refineries with capacity to process 800,000 barrels per day, 43 oil terminals, and over 4,000 gas stations.

Singer acquired Citgo at what multiple sources describe as a major discount. Court advisors estimated Citgo’s actual value at approximately $13 billion, while Venezuelan officials valued the assets at $18 billion to $20 billion. This means Singer paid roughly 45 percent of the estimated market value.

A highly controversial aspect of the sale involves Robert Pincus, the court-appointed special master who oversaw the auction and recommended Singer’s bid. Pincus sits on the national board of directors of AIPAC. Gold Reserve Inc., a competing bidder that offered $7.9 billion, filed motions to disqualify Pincus for conflicts of interest. Venezuela rejected the sale’s legitimacy, calling it a “fraudulent process” and the “theft of the century.”

Trump’s Venezuela Intervention is Singer’s Wet Dream

The timing of events raised serious questions about the relationship between Singer’s Citgo purchase and Trump administration actions. In 2024, Singer donated $5 million to Trump’s super PAC and contributed $37 million to support Republican congressional candidates. On January 3, 2026, U.S. armed forces conducted a military raid in Caracas, capturing Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.

The removal of Maduro positions Singer to reap enormous profits. Economist Paul Krugman noted, “If Trump lifts that embargo, Singer will receive a huge windfall.” Within days of Maduro’s capture, Trump announced that Venezuela would be turning over between 30 and 50 million barrels of oil to the United States.

Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY), who is a staunch opponent of the intervention in Venezuela, also caught on to how Singer stands to benefit from military action against Venezuela. He tweeted on January 4, 2026, “According to Grok, Paul Singer, globalist Republican mega-donor who’s already spent $1,000,000 to defeat me in the next election, stands to make billions of dollars on his distressed CITGO investment, now that this administration has taken over Venezuela.”

As Massie noted, Singer has ponied up $1 million to MAGA KY, a super PAC seeking to unseat the Kentucky congressman. Singer and his fellow Zionist Jews view Massie as an obstacle to further consolidating Jewish supremacy in the halls of Congress.

All told, Singer is the embodiment of Jewish plutocracy. He bankrolls the West’s demise through his advocacy of LGBT degeneracy, mass migration, never-ending wars on behalf of world Jewry, and vulture finance. Americans must awaken to these existential threats, revoke their elite privileges, and halt the Great Replacement before it consigns our polities to historical oblivion.

Liora Rez, a professional Jewish agitator funded by shadowy donors, has built a lucrative career by branding critics of Israel as hate-filled bigots.

She emigrated to the United States as a Jewish refugee from what she describes as a thoroughly antisemitic environment in the Soviet Union. That early experience would become the foundation of her later activism against antisemitism.

But before Rez became one of the most controversial figures in pro-Israel activism, she had a very different public persona. Around 2012, she founded Jewish Chick Media Inc., a lifestyle brand focused on fashion and Jewish identity. As researcher Karl Radl documented, Rez pivoted from being a Jewish fashion and lifestyle influencer to a full-time pro-Israel activist following a 2016 trip to Israel with the Jewish Women’s Renaissance Project, now known as Momentum. At the time, she was navigating a contentious divorce in Connecticut, and the combination of circumstances prompted her decision to reinvent herself entirely.

In October 2018, Rez launched StopAntisemitism.org, an organization that would gain her great notoriety The group focuses on publicly calling out individuals it regards as antisemitic, using digital networks including the Internet, direct mail, and social media to reach millions. The organization’s stated mission is to publicly expose antisemitic behavior and ensure repercussions for those who, in their view, advocate hatred and violence against Jewish people.

Rez’s philosophy is blunt. She firmly believes that “antisemitism thrives when there are no consequences,” so her organization aims to create those consequences, which include job loss, suspensions, and public shaming for individuals they target. In testimony before Congress and numerous op-eds, Rez claims her group is “nonpartisan” and “grassroots,” mobilizing networks of activists to identify alleged antisemites and pressure institutions to discipline them.

The results, by Rez’s own account, have been dramatic. In an interview with the Jewish News Syndicate, she claimed that since the Hamas attacks of October 7, 2023, StopAntisemitism has “profiled more than 1,000 antisemites” and “over 400 of them have been fired” thanks to their pressure campaigns.

Harassing Israel critics is no cheap endeavor. Rez’s organization enjoys substantial financial backing from the Jewish community. The Milstein Family Foundation, led by real estate investor Adam Milstein and his wife Gila, is a key funder of StopAntisemitism.org. Tax records from 2022 reveal that the Merona Leadership Foundation—with Gila Milstein serving as president—compensated Rez with a $125,633 salary while allocating approximately $270,000 toward the organization’s operational costs.

At the core of Rez’s activism lies the premise that anti-Zionism and antisemitism are essentially identical. In a Jerusalem Post profile, she stated unequivocally: “Anti-Zionism is a contemporary form of antisemitism. We must fight this hate’s influence, especially on younger generations, to secure the future of the Jewish people in the US, in Israel and around the world.”

In her writing, Rez frequently emphasizes that Jews comprise just over 2% of the US population but are victims of “almost 60% of all US religious hate crimes,” using this statistic to justify an expansive definition of antisemitism. StopAntisemitism employs the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance working definition of antisemitism as its guide, which explicitly includes several anti-Israel positions—such as describing Israel as a racist endeavor—as examples of antisemitism. For Rez, hostility toward Israel functions as the primary vehicle for contemporary anti-Jewish hatred.

She views the “global wave of Jew hatred” that surfaced after Hamas’ October 7 attacks as justification for intensive monitoring of campuses, corporations, unions, hospitals, and government agencies. Rez identified college campuses as one of the most troubling environments, citing cases of Jewish students being singled out in libraries, professors openly celebrating Hamas and Hezbollah militants, demonstrators blocking building access, and university leadership remaining passive. “We stepped in,” she stated, adding a stern message: “If you target Jewish students, your actions won’t remain unseen.”

Her approach advocates aggressive public exposure of students and faculty, often tagging employers and prospective employers on social media to maximize professional consequences. Perhaps nothing illustrates StopAntisemitism’s controversial approach better than its annual “Antisemite of the Year” competition, where the organization nominates a slate of figures and invites the public to vote. The contest has featured a mix of figures from the right, Holocaust deniers, and high-profile pro-Palestinian or anti-Zionist public figures, reinforcing critics’ claims that Rez collapses political opposition to Israel into the category of antisemitism.

Conservative commentator Tucker Carlson was named the 2025 “Antisemite of the Year” on December 21, 2025, marking the second consecutive year that StopAntisemitism selected a right-wing figure–Candace Owens was the recipient of this distinction in 2024–for this designation after years of predominantly awarding the title to left-wing personalities. Carlson competed against a diverse slate of nominees including UFC fighter Bryce Mitchell, social media personality Stew Peters, beloved children’s YouTuber Rachel Anne Accurso (“Ms. Rachel”), and “Sex and the City” star Cynthia Nixon.

Although Ms. Rachel did not receive StopAntisemitism’s designation, in 2025, StopAntisemitism launched what became one of its most controversial campaigns against her. The Jewish advocacy organizations went on the offensive after she posted about children in the Gaza Strip, called for an end to the blockade, and hosted Palestinian journalist Motaz Azaiza.

“Since 10/7, Ms. Rachel has pushed Hamas propaganda to millions - sharing debunked images, inflated casualty claims, and almost entirely ignoring Israeli child victims,” StopAntisemitism published on X. “She also hosted Motaz Azaiza, a terrorist sympathizer who celebrated the 10/7 massacre & openly idolizes Yahya Sinwar.”

Accurso publicly rejected the label, emphasizing her commitment to children’s well-being. Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) condemned the nomination, saying, “Ms. Rachel is a preschool teacher who speaks up for starving children in Gaza. That is not antisemitism. I hope thousands will join me in standing up for her.”

More recently, Rez has joined a right-wing Zionist campaign against newly-sworn New York City mayor Zohran Mamdani. She has warned that his election as NYC mayor would be “catastrophic” and portrayed him as part of a rabid anti-Israel left that would “take over every inch of NYC.”

Through her fanatic advocacy for Israel, Rez has gained substantial recognition within certain segments of the Jewish community. She testified before the U.S. House Small Business Committee in January 2024, where her official bio stressed her status as a Soviet Jewish refugee and described StopAntisemitism’s efforts to hold antisemites “accountable for their hateful actions.”

The Jewish newspaper Algemeiner has repeatedly listed her among the “Top 100 People Positively Influencing Jewish Life,” highlighting StopAntisemitism’s social media reach and their ability to deliver severe economic and social consequences against those who criticize the Jewish state.

The ultimate lesson of StopAntisemitism.org is that the movement’s true goal is not mutual respect, but total domination, enforcing a code of silence where gentile criticism is treated as a thought crime worthy of punishment.

World Jewish Congress President Ronald Lauder likes to present himself as a civic minded elder statesman, a sober billionaire warning America about a rising tide of antisemitism.

At the Israel Hayom Summit on December 2, 2025, he framed the moment as a crisis of the West itself, calling it “a full-scale assault on truth, on democracy, and on the safety of Jewish people everywhere,” and insisting, “This is not normal. And it is not ‘just criticism of Israel.’ It is the world’s oldest hatred, once again wearing political clothing.”

Lauder was referring to the rise of antisemitism and anti-Israel sentiment worldwide in the wake of Israel’s 2-year bombing campaign in Gaza.

Then he sharpened the spear and aimed it at domestic enemies like Tucker Carlson, who has been one of the most vocal critics of Israel in the post-October 7 reality we live in. He told the audience, “Tucker Carlson is the Father Coughlin of our generation.” In the same speech he warned that complacency is over, because “antisemitism is rampant throughout our culture,” and he demanded a political and institutional counteroffensive.

That is the Lauder formula in its purest form. He wraps a totalizing political program in the language of safety and moral emergency, then treats America’s public life as territory to be reorganized around his crusade. The target is never merely hatred. The target is dissent, drift, and disobedience from the priorities he has chosen, priorities that consistently put Israel first.

Lauder did not arrive at this posture late in life. He was born into power in New York City in 1944, the heir to the Estée Lauder fortune, raised in elite institutions, and trained for international influence through business and foreign policy studies. He entered the family company early, then moved into government in the Reagan era, where he served at the Pentagon as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for European and NATO policy.

Ronald Reagan then tapped him as U.S. ambassador to Austria in 1986. In Vienna, he did not behave like a neutral American emissary. He turned his diplomatic post into a stage for historical confrontation and political signaling. Lauder refused to attend the inauguration of Austria’s president Kurt Waldheim amid allegations of him being involved in or being aware of National Socialist atrocities in the Balkans during his service as a German army lieutenant in World War II. He also fired U.S. diplomat Felix Bloch for engaging in suspected espionage activities.

After government service, Lauder tried to convert his vast wealth into formal power at home. In 1989, he ran for mayor of New York City as a Republican, where he spent big bucks to get his name out and campaign to the right of Rudy Giuliani, only to lose the primary. Even in defeat, the pattern held. He treated politics as an arena where money does all the talking, and he kept looking for levers that could bend public life to his will.

He found one in term limits. During the 1990s he poured resources into imposing term limits on New York City officials, selling it as a democratic reform and a check on machine party politics. Yet in 2008, when Mayor Michael Bloomberg wanted a third term, Lauder reversed course and supported extending those limits, a turn that mainstream critics interpreted as a billionaire bargain dressed up as civic necessity. However, from the perspective of long-time observers of Jewish behavior, Lauder’s support for Bloomberg reflects a pattern of co-ethnic solidarity among Jewish power brokers.

While Lauder played these games in New York, his real career was consolidating leadership in the organized Jewish political world. Notably, Lauder was a member of the Mega Group—a mysterious network of Jewish oligarchs that worked behind the scenes to advance Jewish interests and strengthen pro-Israel bonds among Jews in America. Leslie Wexner, founder of The Limited and Victoria’s Secret, and the late Jewish sex criminal Jeffrey Epstein were among the most prominent members of this Jewish consortium. By 2007, Lauder had become president of the World Jewish Congress, a position that turned him into a roaming power broker who meets heads of state and treats international politics as a permanent lobbying campaign.

From that perch, he repeatedly framed Western security architecture as a vehicle for Israeli priorities. In 2011, he publicly argued that Israel should be admitted into NATO, insisting, “Israel needs real guarantees for its security,” and pressing NATO states to bring Israel into the alliance.

In 2012, he attacked European pressure campaigns on Israel with maximalist rhetoric. When Irish officials floated an EU ban on goods from Israeli communities in the West Bank, Lauder called boycott talk “cynical and hypocritical,” and declared, “Minister Gilmore is taking aim at the only liberal democracy in the Middle East while keeping quiet about those who really wreak havoc in the region: the Assads, Ahmadinejads and their allies Hezbollah and Hamas.” He added that the West Bank was “legally disputed and not illegally occupied.”

He carried the same posture with respect to Iran — enemy #1 for world Jewry at the moment. In 2013, as Western diplomats negotiated with Tehran, he mocked their perceived softness and conjured Munich analogies, warning, “Just as the West gave up Czechoslovakia to Hitler in Munich in 1938, we see what is happening again and the world is silent,” and boasting, “Frankly, only France stands between us and a nuclear Iran.” In 2015, he escalated again, attacking the nuclear deal with a moral curse, saying, “The road to hell is often paved with good intentions,” and arguing that the agreement could revive Iran economically without stopping long term nuclear ambitions.

The story kept darkening as his proximity to Israeli power deepened. In 2016, Israeli police questioned Lauder in connection with “Case 1000,” the Netanyahu gifts affair. Reports said investigators sought his testimony because of his closeness to Netanyahu and the broader allegations involving luxury gifts and favors. Lauder was not charged, but the episode revealed how near he operated to Israel’s governing circle, not as an outside friend, but as part of the broader, transnational Jewish network.

By 2023, he openly wielded donor money as a disciplinary weapon in American institutions. After the October 7 attacks and campus controversies, he warned the University of Pennsylvania that, “You are forcing me to reexamine my financial support absent satisfactory measures to address antisemitism.” The message was simple. If a prestigious American university fails to police speech and activism the way he demands, he will squeeze it financially until it complies.

In 2025, Lauder continued supporting Israel’s ethnic cleansing campaign in Gaza. He categorically rejected the idea that Israel bears any responsibility for ending the conflict, insisting, “The truth is simple: the war could end tomorrow if Hamas were to release the remaining hostages and disarm.” On education and propaganda, he stopped pretending the solution is persuasion alone. At the World Jewish Congress gala in November 2025, he argued that the education pipeline must be rebuilt from the ground up, declaring, “The entire education system — K-12 to college — must be retaught,” and adding, “It’s time we fight back with stronger PR to tell the truth.”

He also made the threat explicit. In a widely shared clip, he vowed, “Any candidate running for a seat… whose platform includes antisemitism, we will target them as they target us.”

Like most of the Israel First set, Lauder was ecstatic about the toppling of Bashar al-Assad’s government in Syria in late 2024. In September 2025, he met former al-Qaeda terrorist-turned Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly and afterward said, “We had a very positive discussion about normalization between Israel and Syria.”

Seen in order, the picture is not complicated. Lauder builds influence through money, embeds himself in elite institutions, and uses both to steer policy and culture toward a relentless Zionist agenda. He does not talk like a man defending American sovereignty. He talks like an agent of world Jewry who expects America’s parties, schools, media, and alliances to function as enforcement arms for a foreign cause.

That is why his December 2025 sermon about antisemitism matters. It is not only a warning. It is a blueprint. When Lauder says “If we don’t tell our own story, others will rewrite it,” he is not describing a cultural debate. He is declaring ownership over the narrative, and claiming the right to punish anyone in American life who refuses to repeat it.

In the end, Ronald Lauder emerges not as a guardian of American civic life but as a disciplined enforcer of a foreign political creed, using wealth, intimidation, and moral blackmail to bend institutions to his will. What he calls a fight against hatred looks increasingly like a campaign to subordinate American sovereignty, speech, and policy to the imperatives of Israel and the transnational Jewish clique that sustains it.
