We already had our own more sophisticated Indo-European spiritual philosophies. The biggest mistake was to include the Old Testament in the Christian Bible. Christianity and Judaism are completely antithetical. I have been meaning to write an article about it, but I'm so bloody lazy. I think you can see what I'm getting at. Having the OT in the bible makes Christians more likely to identify with Jews.
