In addition to focusing on places of employment, the feds could do a better job of picking illegal aliens up from jails and prisons. How hard is it to monitor jail records and cross-check with immigration? It's like shooting fish in a barrel.. My estimate is they are only picking up less than 5 percent of the illegal aliens that get arrested. Even in red states the vast majority are being released

Question for you: Do you think your premise is weakened by the timeframe measured? Many conservatives would surely argue the red state statistics you cite were due to poor democrat leadership during Biden admin.
I’m even willing to point out that you don’t appear to address the reduction in border crossings when evaluating the Trump admin’s performance thus far. But I’d understand if that’s because undoing that progress would be easy to do for next admin.
I also suspect that this is for census reasons. Minnesota barely like less than 100 keep all their seats. If thousands are deported then MN could lose a seat in the house. This goes for left wing states at large. Which is stupid by republicans thinking we can vote our way out of this.
