He branded this strategy as “national libertarianism” in a speech at the 2024 National Conservatism Conference." That was essentially the policy set of quite a few polities, such as the late Austro-Hungarian Empire who used things like tariffs for different purposes than the USA's Old Republic did, the AHE (who btw is where Hayek's analysis is based in) used tariffs along with other domestic policies to reinforce cartelization, oligarchy, and deep political centralization within the empire. Whereas the USA's Old Republic used them to do the opposite.

Also the fact that the party in the White House always does poorly in midterms, the fact that a lot of Trump's working class base doesn't vote in midterms, and that if Trump keeps being Israel's bitch and drags us into another war in the middle east (which is looking more likely by the day), his approval could be extremely bad and his base demoralized.

The problem is that education has been hijacked period and that’s being demonstrated in universities across the country. One of the most expensive schools in the country wanted to have their graduation ceremonies segregated. That is a HUGE step backwards. Then again when a lot of their funding is coming from the Arab world what do you expect
